    Hello Guys!

    So i have a problem and i cant seem to figure out what the problem is. So help me out!

    So i bought a Turtle Beach ear force recon 50x for my xbox one S controller and the mic doesnt seem to work. I thought there must be a fault with the mic so i tried it with my mobile but it works perfectly. But when i plug it to my controller, all i hear
    is other people talking and in-game audio. To test it i downloaded skype and did the sound test. No mic support. I opened party chat to see if my profile icon blinks when talking but nothing. I have enable mic every possible way in the settings and the headphones
    as well. Im sure there is no problem with the headphone. Because even regular earphones with mic should work as i have read in other sites if there is a 3.5mm jack in the controller.

    Do you know any working solutions for this?

    Hi Support,

    I bought an Xbox One S a couple of days ago and I have been using my android headphones plugged into the Xbox One S 3.5mm controller socket fine up until tonight. Now it's stopped working (audio through head phones and the mic) and the Xbox has a cross through
    a mic icon.

    The odd thing is the headphones and the other controller are fine, audio and the mic both working perfectly through the second Xbox One S controller I got with the console.

    I've tried everything I could find online, hard reset, resetting console to factory defaults, unregistering controller, trying a firmware update on controller but nothing has helped. As I said the other controller is working fine with the headset, I can
    see online that lots of people are perhaps having the same issue with the Xbox One S controllers but there is no fix known.

    Can anyone help please? Should I just send the controller in for replacement or take the whole lot back to the shop as its so new?

    gaming headset mic not working with xbox one S

    Xbox One S five months old and headset mic stopped working. Thought it might be mic/headset so bought new one and mic won't work. Trouble shot with Microsoft support, had internet provider change setting on NAT type to open, tried headset on different
    device and mic worked, replaced controller, replaced console and mic still doesn't work. With Microsoft support help reset every possible setting in account and mic still does not work. Support is out of ideas. Does anyone in the community have any ideas
    or has experienced this issue? Thanks

    No. The Xbox One/Xbox Series X|S consoles do not support those type of mics.

    no they don't come with one, as all new controllers support virtually any 3.5mm headset with mic including phone headphones with mic.

    The "mic" you're referring to is the boom mic that plugs into the headset.



    The mic I'm referring to is the chat system that allows one to talk to other players. Normally, that's supported by a wired mic cable that goes from the 360 controller to other headsets. On all other 360 headsets, a cable is required from the base of the
    360 controller to the headset for chat. Even the wireless Astro A50 has a mic cable port to go to the 360 controller.



    On the Tritton Warhead, that's all done wirelessly, same as the Microsoft Wireless Mic for 360 works. Tritton integrated the wireless mic into the headset base unit so that the headset can be completely wireless - no wired mic cable going to the controller.



    It's the wired mic cable that the Tritton Warhead lacks that is the problem. There will be no way for the Warhead's base unit to sync its wireless mic with the Xbox One.



    If all you want to do is use the Warhead as a wireless headset without a mic, it will be fine. If you want mic support, it won't.

    Well, I have tried my Turtle Beach x11's AND my regular xbox mic and 2 controllers and neither of them worked. But the funny thing is that when i unplug my x11's I can hear myself talking but then they cant hear me! ... and yes all is wireless but my regular
