  1. Xbox one S controller heats up when used on windows 11

I have just brought a brand new Xbox One S controller to play with it on my laptop (I recently upgraded windows 10 to windows 11 beta as I liked it, and seemed to be much better that windows 10). However, Bluetooth works fine , but when I play with a micro USB cable (No batteries are put), it gradually gets hot in the area under the D-Pad, and that started to happen after I updated the firmware of the controller via Xbox accessories app. This didn't happen before I updated the firmware, but I experienced some inconsistent inputs , so I had to try to update, and everything (almost) works great, except of that heat issue. I tried another xbox one s controller, and had the same problem, so I reckon that it's a firmware issue. What I am asking for is a way to hard reset the xbox one s controller firmware to factory settings, as the controller is not cheap to overheat like that "even cheap controllers do not overheat lol". Is there anyway to hard reset this controller's firmware ? I do not have any Microsoft centre for any customer services, so any help will be much appreciated.

    Thanks in advance.

    :)

xbox wireless controller and adapter problem

Hi, Dericka! When I connect it using wired connection (special xbox wire for this controller) windows 11 recognizes it like just "controller". That`s it.

Do the Xbox Design Lab controllers work with Windows 11?

Hello, first it's a pleasure to be able to help you today.

My name is welcome to the community.

Hello ASushiBowl, xbox design lab controls are the same model as the Windows 10 and 11 Compatible Series S/X.

    https://www.xbox.com/en-us/accessories/controll...

*Compatible with select devices and operating system versions; learn more at xbox.com/controller-compatibility. Battery life varies significantly with headsets, additional accessories, usage, and other factors. Testing conducted by Microsoft using standard AA batteries in preproduction units. Button mapping available via Xbox Accessories app for Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and Windows 10/11; app for Windows 10/11 requires compatible USB-C cable (sold separately).

Why do I have to sign in everytime I played games on gamepass, I can't even play my game offline. Can I do something to solve this issue?

What device are you using, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S or Windows 10/11?
