    XBOX One S Controller Flashes and would not resync


    Hi all,

    Strange issue my son came accross yesterday. The XBOX One S Controller Flashes and would not re-connect even if I press sync bottuns on both controller and the console. It would pair with my laptop fine also has got latest firsmware as I checked it via XBOX
    accessories app installed and plugged using USB cable.

    The battery is fully charged as well. Restarted the console multiple times. Sadly I have got only one controller to rule out of this console or the controller misbehaving.

    Please advise.

    Controller disconnects and would not resync

    Try having the controller off with both batteries out and the USB cable disconnected from the controller so there's no power running through it. Leave it like that for a minute and plug either the batteries or USB cable back in and see if it works then.
    I had an issue of an unresponsive controller, I unplugged it, took out battery, but never both at once and as soon as I did that I realized it helped a bunch.

    The controller has it's own software, and sometimes it has the tendency to crash, get stuck in a loop, whatever, only way is a hard reset. Since I had power either through a USB or battery it never did a hard reset so I imagine taking away both power sources
    forced it to reboot in a way.

    Works on me when controller locks up, is unresponsive, or when I'm unable to use my microphone or stereo headset adapter and headphones.

    Have you tried hard rebooting the xbox?

    You can do this by holding down it's powerbutton for 10 seconds.

    Please retry afterwards.

    Good morning. Try plug the Xbox first. When the Xbox on plug the control. This resolve the situation.

    Thanks guys, I did both suggestion so not sure which helped.

    Besides I disconnected the power of the console before it did not help. Also I have had a bad usb cabel which did not work when I connected it to the front port yeasterday.

    I have a similar issue with the XBox Controller S (Bluetooth One)

    I have to resync it to my computer via Bluetooth whenever I charge it, It doesn't matter if I use my PC or a regular outlet to charge my controller whenever I unplug it the light starts flashing and I have to resync it via Bluetooth.

    There is no option to "Connect" either I have to delete the XBController profile and then repair it to my computer in order to use it again and it's really getting on my last nerve.

    Anybody have any ideas on how to fix it?
