    Xbox One S Controller Drifting


    To whom it may concern at Microsoft,

    I have had my Xbox One S since Christmas, and as of about a week ago, my left thumbstick drifts both up and down during usage. Whenever I point the thumbstick up or down for any amount of time and release, the physical stick goes back to the center
    of where it always begins, yet my console receives input of the stick pointing either slightly up or slightly down, whichever I have most recently been pointing it. The only fix I have found is to press down on the stick, but that is highly inconvenient in-game.
    It should be noted that this issue persists regardless of if I am in a game or merely attempting to sign in.

    In terms of troubleshooting, I have tried everything recommended on this website, including powering down my console, disconnecting the power source for 5 minutes, etc. as well as other user-recommended fixes on the internet, and the issue still continues.
    I am extremely displeased with the Troubleshooting page's fix of needing to replace my controller, seeing as the controller only came with a 3 month warranty and I've had it since Christmas. In my current position, I am in no place to go waste $50 on a new
    controller that will probably have the same issue 3 months after that warranty expires.

    To conclude, I am very disappointed in this current product. With my Xbox One S console constantly disconnecting from wireless internet in the current software and never before, and my only Xbox controller having malfunctions to the point of me no
    longer enjoying using it, I am very saddened to see how far this company has fallen since the days of the Xbox 360. If anyone has any fixes for my issue then please help, thank you.

    Not quite understanding what you mean by centerpoint. Is the controller drifting up? For steps on drifting controllers, check out our

    Xbox One Controller Troubleshooter    . Unfortunately for drifting issues, the controller would need to be repaired or replaced depending on your warranty status.

    Why is the Quality of the Xbox Elite Version 2 controls bad?

    they have turned into apple, they sell inferior cheap tack at a premium price.

    I have seen loads and loads of posts about stick drift on a lot of new controllers, not just elite.

    Best thing is i have three xbox one s controllers, all with drift on the left thumbstick, seems to be an issue when you click it in repeatedly for running in games it then gets drift very quickly. (mainly drifting up)

    I bought a power A controller with two rear buttons and low and behold no drift even after three months of use.

    From MY experience with Xbox controllers, the Xbox 360 seems to be built much tougher than the Xbox One controllers (not Xbox One S controller).

    Ive heard plenty about controller drift over the years but its the first time ive heard of an A button issue. I have two normal controllers that came with my one s I have the one that came with my one x, ive got one recon controller and one elite controller
    and they all work as if new except one of the normal ones I got with the one s which drifts to the left slowely. If your controllers are less than 90 days old you can get them repaired through warranty.
