Xbox One S Controller + Chatpad + Win10 = works only wired. Help

Hi there,

ive got a problem with my new chatpad - it wont work wireless with my Win10 pc (with latest updates).

With Micro-USB cable everything works great, but without cable the chatpad is not working and not even blinking. My

controller works well (bluetooth version with 3,5mm in) even if chatpad is plugged in.

Ive downloaded this controller app and updated the firmware ob both devices, but still no changes. In this app i can see the chatpad if i connect my controller via USB cable, but if i connect the controller with chatpad via bluetooth, the app shows me only
controller.

The question is - it is possible to use the chatpad + controller without wires in Win10?

Any suggestions how to solve it?

Tool on PC to change layout of the XBOX One S Controller (bluetooth)?

Hello everyone,

My "xbox one s" controller works fine via bluetooth under win10 and it`s recognized by every game I own. So far so good.

I know, that you can customize only the XBOX "Elite" controller via Xbox Accessories app on Win10, to for excample change the button layout and so on.

Does anyone know of a possibility to customize the normal xbox one s controller under win10? I tried the program "MotionInJoy" but it doesnt work.

You can easily chat with your friends on Xbox LIVE using the Xbox 360 Chatpad. The Chatpad is very helpful for sending text messages quickly.

How to connect the Xbox Chatpad to a controller

To connect the Xbox Chatpad to a controller, follow the steps below:

• First, you need to turn the controller and the Xbox 360 Chatpad so that the bottom of each faces up.
• The chatpad connector plug needs to be aligned with the controller’s expansion port. You have to align the two posts on the chatpad with the holes on the controller.
• Finally, you need to push the chatpad onto the controller with even pressure to attach. You have to ensure that there is no gape between the chatpad and the controller.

You can also connect an Xbox 360 Wired Headset or a mobile phone headset with the Xbox 360 Chatpad. To connect a headset, you need to plug it into the 2.5-mm audio jack on the chatpad.

Notes:

• You can connect the Xbox 360 Chatpad with both the Xbox 360 wired or wireless controllers.
• But you cannot use the Xbox 360 Chatpad with a controller connected to a personal computer.

 

Update: solved. The chatpad wont work via Bluetooth-connection. You'll need to buy the official microsoft wireless adapter. Now everything works perfekt.
