Will Razer Kraken Pro Work On New Controllers?

Razer Kraken Pro 2015 headset is the PC version and they have a 3.5 mm jack so yes they should be compatible with the new xbox one 3.5 mm controller.

Could be a couple of things,

    1. A broken wire in the headset cable. This is the most common, if you have another headset to try, try that, alternatively, plug the headset into a different device an wiggle the cable around to see if you get the same issue.

    2. Interference from another source/sitting to far from the console. The wireless works best within 10 feet. If you have a lot of other devices nearby that use WiFi, or your neighbours access point is just the other side of the wall to your console, that
    can cause some issues.

    3. A faulty Headset port on the controller, or some other fault in the controller. For this you'll need to go to
devicesupport.microsoft.com and register your console if you haven't already, then select replace an accessory and select your controller.

  6. You will need to try those same headsets on another controller. A friends or a new one.

Most easiest way to figure out if you need a new controller or not.

    Good luck.

  7. If you have an old controller adapter for headsets back before they integrated the 3.5mm jacks, try using that. Others have had this issue and fixed it like that but its not verified.

Xbox One S Controller 3.5 mm sound issue

Couchmarine69 has a good point. I had a similar issue with an old pair of Turtle Beach X12's when using the 3.5mm jack. I got an adaptor, and it solved my issue. Well, that and a proper update via the settings menu. Let me know if that helps!

Update: the problem doesn't occur if i turn on the console using the controller not the console power button. Also, the controller decided to not respond during gameplay, it wouldn't let me control my character, and it eventually turned itself off. It's
    acting like it's having interference.

Have you tried updating your controller on the Xbox Accessories App?

  11. I just posted about my controller and constant disconnects, some indicate the controller has disconnected and other times it just acts like it's frozen (with the Xbox button with a solid light), when it freezes I have to remove the batteries.

To speak to the thread's original question from Carnasis, If you're using an older style headset from your Xbox 360 days, there is a really good chance you'll need the stereo adaptor to make them work correctly.

As for the controller connection issues: I had this same thing happen with both my Elite controllers and the original wireless controller that I received when I bought the console. I made sure to do the proper updates with the headset connected
to the controller and controller connected to the console via USB. To do this, go to your settings menu, find "accessories", select controller and then click update. That fixed the habitual connectivity issues you seem to be having. Now, for me atleast,
I still have the occasional disconnection where I can not get the controller to reconnect or, the Xbox does not see the controller during startup (I hold the Guide button down on the controller but it does not power on the Xbox after syncing). To fix this,
I grab the 12' USB cable that came with my Elite controller and wire it in direct. As soon as I connect it to the Xbox, the controller syncs right up. After a few minutes, I can disconnect the cable and it stays connected with no issues. Let me know if
    this helps guys!

Using The Turtle Beach X12s On The Xbox One

I have Turtle Beach X41's and use them with the Xbox One without any issues, however you will not be able to plug the 2.5 mm jack into the 3.5 mm controller port as it's too large - you will need to buy a 2.5 to 3.5 mm adapter cable, they're inexpensive
so you might as well buy a couple extras just in case.
