    XBOX ONE S CONSOLE POWERS ON BUT DOESN'T START


    I just recently bought my xbox one s console, I haven´t played a single game and it is not working. When I turn it on, the power actually turns on, it goes straight to the green screen where it says xbox and it appears to be loading for it to start but it
    takes like 25 minutes for it to actually start. Once it does, nothing works or opens up correctly. Apps won´t start, games won't open not even the ones I have a the cd and introduce it in the console.

    I try support and even though I payed a pretty stiff price for the console, I have to pay like 80 dollars so someone from microsoft will come pick it up and fix something that should work 100% because it is new! any help??

    i have a Seagate external hard drive that runs off the Xbox one power. up until recently it worked fine. I formatted it and connected to my windows 10 pc for a while but now want to reconnect to my Xbox one s It powers up then shuts itself off and the console
    doesn't detect it. I've done all checks my console is instant on and everything. can any one advise.

    In case anyone is having the same problem and can't find a solution I have this to say. It's most likely the hard drive. It was in my case. The hard drive just died and was making the weird noises (not the fan). You can request a repair to change the hard
    drive or do it yourselfs if you are brave enough and out of warranty with a little help from the internet. The hard drive was of a good brand too it's not like Microsoft wanted to save big cash and put a cheap one inside so I guess I can't really blame them.

    Xbox One S powers on but doesn't start up

    Hi and thanks for reaching out. I hope you’re doing well. I'm an Independent Advisor and a Microsoft user like you and I'll be happy to help you.

    I understand you need assistance with your Xbox One S, please follow the steps below to try to fix the issue;

    -Unplug the network cable if you're using a wired network connection then power off your console, and then unplug the power cord to ensure that the console is completely powered off.

    -Wait 30 seconds.

    -Plug the power cord back in.

    -Press and hold the BIND button (the one used to sync controllers) and the EJECT button, and then press the Xbox Power button on the console.

    -Continue holding the BIND and EJECT buttons for 10-15 seconds and listen for two power-up tones a couple of seconds apart.

    NOTE: The BIND button of the Xbox One S is located below the power button,

    -Once you hear the 2nd tone please release the button.

    -If this is successful the Xbox will turn on and should start and show the Xbox Startup Troubleshooter. On the Troubleshooter page, please select Reset this Xbox and then choose "Keep games and apps".

    If you can't bring up the Troubleshooter page after several attempts, I'm afraid you need to consider sending in your device to have it repaired/replaced. Unfortunately, Microsoft is no longer servicing Xbox One consoles, so I recommend looking for the nearest local service center or game shop in your area to see if they can repair/replace it for you.

    That's odd! If you haven't yet, let's start with a
    power cycle     of your Xbox One S console. If the issue persists after that, I would recommend a

    factory reset     of your console, beginning with the "keep my games and apps" option. And if that still doesn't help the issue, I would suggest attempting a full factory reset.

    Let us know what, if anything, helps resolve the issue!
