Xbox One S Console Eludes Me...

The new Xbox One S slim version console is the only next gen era gaming console that I've "NOT" had the oppertunity to purchase as of yet folks, hmmm, should I actually get the new Xbox One S console?!

Pretty sure it is unlocked after a storyline mission. Which one eludes me at the moment as I'm at work.

 

Connection Issues

No, just the one Xbox One. I've somehow managed to get my NAT open as I've said for about a week now and just yesterday, for reasons that elude me, I signed in to find a Strict NAT type in my network settings. I'm really at a loss now.

 

Well they're cheaper than shoes so yeah... grab a couple!

 

Buy now, some months before Scorpio arrives?????

When you specifically mean the Xbox One S, and you do own the Xbox One (without S), then I'd suggest you wait a few months for the holiday season.

Unless you own a 4k capable TV, the Xbox One S won't offer any significant advantage over the "regular" Xbox One.

And considereing that the more powerful Xbox One codenamed "Project Scorpio" (think of it as the Playstation 4 Pro upgrade, but more powerful) will be unveiled during the upcoming E3, I'd recommend to wait.

I mean, if you have money burning in your pocket, or you don't have a Xbox One at all, and you could afford to buy two consoles, go ahead and get the One S, and then the more powerful "Project Scorpio" Xbox One later.

But since you get "true 4k" on the Scorpio, and possibly support for Virutal Reality, I'd wait for the holiday season to get a new console.

 

I would totally agree with this!

Until the big reveal for Scorpio (June 12), when you can take into account how the console looks, and how much it will retail for, it's a wise decision to wait. However, if you *do* have money to burn, the streamlined One S will definitely be a sweet addition
to your family of devices. When I bought my first Xbox One some three years ago (the Sunset Overdrive LE white model), I thought it looked divine, but compared to the new, POWER-BRICKLESS, reduced size of the S, it now looks like a museum piece!

Of course, I'm partial to anything that doesn't come in staid BLACK, but even so, I love my One S more and more each day! ❤
