  1. Xbox One S Connectivity issues and Controller issues

I recently upgraded my old xbox one to one of the new xbox one S' and since then have had a lot of problems that i never had with my old one. To start off straight out the box the controller that came with it will not sync wirelessly with the console by
using the sync buttons and even if you plug it in with a cable and then disconnect the cable it only sometimes connects wirelessly and even then it sometimes just drops the connection randomly and wont reconnect. The next problem is a lot more annoying, I will
start by saying my old console never had any issues with the internet in my house and my nat is always open, the console just randomly drops connection to my home network and it's not like its after a set time or anything, sometimes you can be playing for
hours with no issue and other times it can lose it 3 times in half an hour. Now what makes this odd is sometimes the console still sees that my network is there but then says that it can't connect to it when you try and sometimes it then just can't find my
network at all. No matter what way this happens everything else in my house is still connected and works fine and it can be fixed by hard resetting the console and then suddenly my console can find the network again and connect no problem. Obviously this
isn't ment to happen and it can be very frustrating when you are an hour into a battlefield match and suddenly my console decides it would rather not be online and you have to hard reset and then as a result the controller that you just spent half an hour
trying to get connected wirelessly now won't work wirelessly and you have to plug it in. Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

    :)

Xbox one s controller connectivity problems

Just bought a xbox one s, the controller have massive random connectivity issues.

When playing it can randomly disconnect the controller. The light is still on and i have to remove the batteries and restart the controller to connect again. have tried every step suggested regarding connectivity issues without sucess. and it isnt anything
interfering. (happening 30 cm from the console) i even tried a older model xbox one controller with the same placement and batteries and it works like a charm.

I have updated the controller via usb also.

    Help much appreciated

  3. No wireless connectivity

we recently purchased a one s and had no issues with connectivity the first week. However, it is not recognizing the network and will not allow online play. How can we fix this, as we purchased a year xbox live and cannot access it due to connectivity
    issues.

Xbox One S Connectivity issues and Controller issues

    Hey Fluffle!

From reading your post, it sounds like your console is currently connected to your home network via Wi-Fi, correct? If you can connect using an Ethernet cable to see if the issue persists, that would be a good starting point. Also, read through the guide
    we have for
    consoles that randomly disconnect
from Xbox Live. We also have a troubleshooter for

    controllers that disconnect
randomly. The most common cause for controller disconnects and issues syncing is interference from other wireless devices like mobile phones and laptops.

You'll want to work through all the steps listed in both of those guides to see if anything there helps you out.

Good luck and keep us posted! Xbox One S Connectivity issues and Controller issues :)

Does the Xbox One S console have Bluetooth Capability? I.E Bluetooth Headsets

There is no Bluetooth radio component in the Xbox One S console itself.

The controllers connect to the Xbox One S the same way the controllers connect to the original Xbox One: proprietary RF. You could technically connect an Xbox One S controller to an original Xbox One, and an original Xbox controller to the Xbox One S.

The Bluetooth functionality in the new Xbox One S controller is specifically made for connecting the controller to a Windows 10 PC with the "Anniversary" update, which has the drivers needed for the controller when connected via Bluetooth.

Xbox one s disconnects controller, saying switch to keyboard and mouse.

Hello Rob M, My name is Khaji I am an independent advisor and I will be happy to help you today.

I'm sorry to hear that you're experiencing issues with your Xbox One S controller and the prompt to switch to a keyboard and mouse, let's try the follow to solve this problem:

    1. Connect your controller to the Xbox One S using a USB cable and check for any available updates. To update the controller, go to the Xbox Accessories app on your console and follow the instructions to update the firmware if an update is available.

    2. Try re-syncing the controller with your Xbox One S. To do this, press and hold the Xbox button on the controller until it turns off. Then, press and hold the pairing button on the front of the Xbox One S console until the Xbox button on the controller starts flashing. Allow them to sync, and the controller should reconnect.

    3. Ensure that the batteries in your controller have enough charge. If the battery is low, it may cause connectivity issues. Try using fresh batteries or connect the controller to the console using a USB cable to eliminate any battery-related problems.

    4. Keep other wireless devices, such as routers or smartphones, away from the Xbox One S console. These devices can sometimes interfere with the controller's signal, causing connectivity problems.

    5. Perform a power cycle of your Xbox One S by turning it off, unplugging the power cord, waiting for a few minutes, and then plugging it back in. Turn on the console and see if the issue persists.

    6. If you're using a wired controller, try connecting it to a different USB port on the console. This can help identify if the issue is with the USB port itself.

Thank you very much for your patience and understanding! If you need anything else, do not hesitate to contact us again.

Xbox Series One Elite Controller not connecting to Xbox S console or PC

Hello,Ten my name is Oskayra I am the independent advisor and I will be happy to help you today.

It seems there might be an issue with the communication between your Xbox Elite controller and your Xbox Series S console. While you've tried some troubleshooting steps, there could be an underlying issue with the controller itself or the way it's interacting with the console.

Here are some additional steps you can try to resolve the issue:

Check for physical damage on the controller: Inspect the controller's ports, buttons, and overall condition to ensure there are no visible signs of damage, such as cracks or loose connections.

Try a different USB cable: Use a different USB cable to connect the controller to the console. Sometimes, a faulty cable can interfere with the communication between the controller and the console.

Update the controller firmware using an Xbox One console: If you have access to an Xbox One console, try connecting the controller to it and updating the firmware. This might resolve the issue if there's a specific firmware incompatibility with the Xbox Series S.

Reset the controller: To reset the controller, hold down the pairing button and the Xbox button simultaneously for 5-10 seconds until the Xbox button flashes rapidly. This will reset the controller's pairing information and may help with the connection issue.

Try connecting the controller to another device: Connect the controller to a PC, another Xbox console, or a mobile device using Bluetooth to check if it's working properly with other devices. If it connects and works fine with other devices, the issue might lie with the Xbox Series S console.

I really hope your problem has been fixed with my help, have a nice day. Oskayra
