Xbox One S Connectivity issues and Controller issues

From reading your post, it sounds like your console is currently connected to your home network via Wi-Fi, correct? If you can connect using an Ethernet cable to see if the issue persists, that would be a good starting point. Also, read through the guide
we have for
consoles that randomly disconnect from Xbox Live. We also have a troubleshooter for

controllers that disconnect randomly. The most common cause for controller disconnects and issues syncing is interference from other wireless devices like mobile phones and laptops.

There is no Bluetooth radio component in the Xbox One S console itself.

The controllers connect to the Xbox One S the same way the controllers connect to the original Xbox One: proprietary RF. You could technically connect an Xbox One S controller to an original Xbox One, and an original Xbox controller to the Xbox One S.

The Bluetooth functionality in the new Xbox One S controller is specifically made for connecting the controller to a Windows 10 PC with the "Anniversary" update, which has the drivers needed for the controller when connected via Bluetooth.
