Xbox one S connection

let me tell you a story, so i buy the xbox when it comes out, beautiful decision, possibly one of the greatest choices of my life. Then a few years later the xbox one s comes out and i decide hey, i loved the original so much why not upgrade, so i do. That
was about a year and half ago and let me tell you its been hell ever since. The console runs slower, has problems syncing controllers and much more. But i could deal with all of that until this latest issue which has crossed the line. So a little backstory,
my main account has my 1st original xbox set as its home console along with all my games, but all the same games are downloaded on the S so i can play in both rooms. Anywho the only way i can play those games on the S is if im signed in online, seems simple
enough, except the one problem is that while im playing games, call it nba 2k18 or fortnite, my xbox decided to disconnect from the internet for a split second literally only a split second and in that time i get disconected from my game because it says if
i want to play this game i need to,set this xbox as my main xbox,or,be online. Which makes no sense because when i get kicked out of my game it stills shows im online on my dashboard. I can load the game right back uo as if nothing happened but oh wait, all
my **** progress is,gone on what i was doing, ive had to replay the lakers about 60 times now on my 2k because everytime i hit the second half my xbox decides to go offline for that half second. By the way whether im connected by wire, or wireless, close to
the router or far. Same problem. You know i want to buy the new xbox one x but im,pretty sure another upgrade will just end up worse. Maybe this time instead of saying i need to reconnect to online, it will just say **** you bitch, have fun playing,the lakers
again. I need to know, no...i must know how to fix this before i put my xbox in a microwave and throw it off a overpass. Please just tell me what to do. All my friends have multiple xboxs like me in this same situation and have never had this problem. Please
ive been a loyal xbox buyer for a decade now but im quickly getting turned off of it since i cant play xbox anymore without getting screwed.

I'm curious if the Xbox One Elite controller is compatible with the new Xbox One S console. Also, are you able to connect original Xbox One controllers to the Xbox One S or is everything limited to the Xbox One S controllers because they use Bluetooth as
the primary way of connection?
