Xbox one s connection problems

My xbox one s keeps disconnecting from wifi but it works most of the time. It's not the wifi or router because everything else connected works.

having same problems here just purchased an xbox one s and it looses connection after about 30 minutes of gaming i tried my older xbox one and thats fine not a problem :/

Xbox one s connection problems

To ensure Xbox Live stays connected smoothly, you may need to configure your network hardware.

Optimal network performance is achieved when your NAT type is "Open".
See here for help with opening your NAT, which will involve configuring your network hardware. Instructions on configuring your modem/router/gateway is found in the documentation that came with it, or by contacting your ISP for help (if they issued it to
you).

Your account, saves, and digital purchases are all saved in the cloud. Resetting the Xbox to factory defaults will not totally delete your account, you simply need to log in to your Xbox with the same Microsoft account as before.

Hey oof thanks for taking the time to bring this issue to us!

First things first we suggest clearing out the Network Card Cache to make sure there isn't any corruption on there. Follow these steps on the console and let us know if it helped!

Thank you for bringing this issue to our attention.

I recommend you set up a static IP Address and see if that helps.

1. Settings

2. Network

3. Network Settings

4. Advanced Settings

5. Copy the IPV4 Information on the right side of the screen (IP address, Subnet mask, Gateway)

6. Select IP settings

7. Select Manual

8. After set up, test your network settings (Test network, test Multiplayer, Test NAT Type)

Should there still be issues, please contact your internet provider and set up the Ports (Port Forwarding).

Just an S a couple days after christmas. Wire connection and it will not recognize wired connection after initial setup update. Switched back in the old xbox one and it works fine. old xbox even connects wirelessly with no problems. took my S over a family
members house and it connected no problem. I don't get it either.

Just want to give a update on my situation: I activated ipv6 on my router and my xbox one s was able to connect to my wifi. After a day or two I received the same problem again and got disconnected and signed out from xbox live randomly.

I decided to try a wired connection to my xbox one s and so far I'm having no problems connecting and I have both consoles on at the same time with open nats. My original xbox is on a wireless connection. I will continue to stay on a wired connection so
I can confirm it must be a wireless issue affecting only my new xbox one s.

There is no Bluetooth radio component in the Xbox One S console itself.

The controllers connect to the Xbox One S the same way the controllers connect to the original Xbox One: proprietary RF. You could technically connect an Xbox One S controller to an original Xbox One, and an original Xbox controller to the Xbox One S.

The Bluetooth functionality in the new Xbox One S controller is specifically made for connecting the controller to a Windows 10 PC with the "Anniversary" update, which has the drivers needed for the controller when connected via Bluetooth.

My Series S cant connect, load games, or anything. My wifes xbox one is having no problems whatsoever. We are in the SAME house and using the SAME internet connection.
