Xbox One S connection problems to Live & Achievements not registering.

Have a 2TB Xbox one S.

Was working fine until 2 days ago. When going to start a game or app. The game or app would quickly load then disappear with a screen saying to connect to Xbox Live. Used the console setting to test network and says I am connected.

Have tried to restart the console, may have to restart several time before I am able to open an app or game.

Have tested the console to 2 different modems, both wireless and wired with the same problem.

I have now noticed that Achievements are now not registering. e.g. I completed Borderlands Pre Sequal this morning and did the "Moxxi's Sampler"

achievement. No achievements have registered or shown on my score.

I have tried calling the "1800 555 741" number in Australia, but keep being told support is currently closed.

Do you encounter any error code? If yes, try to use this tool:
support.xbox.com/error-code-lookup

Please make sure that your connection is properly connected by testing network and multiplayer from Network settings. If everything is good, try to reset your console to defaults under System settings and try to select Reset and keep games and apps.

Regarding with achievement issue, you may follow the steps on this link:

If you prefer to contact official xbox phone support, try again some time when they are available. I hope this helps!

 

Just a follow up:

* I tried restoring to factory settings, same issue occurred.

* No error code shows when it is happening.

* Tried on 2 different modems. Tried 3 different ethernet cables. Tried all ports on both modems.

* when connected wired. The settings showed connected for a few second, then not connected for a few seconds (was a continual loop.

Would like to know why achievements are not registering?

 

Have you contacted your internet/broadband provider to make sure everything is ok with your line?

I had similar issues a few months back but it turned out to be my own broadband provider ( BT Broadband ) for about 24 hours they were having nationwide DNS issues and it was causing loads of issues with Xbox Live, achievements not unlocking, I couldn't
connect to Party Chat.

If all ok there I'd keep on trying Xbox Support to see what they can do.

It does sound like an ISP problem, so it definitely would be a good idea to check into that. I'd give their support a call and ask them to check out your connection. Also, achievements won't unlock until you connect to XBL. Well actually, they "unlock",
so you won't have to do whatever you did to unlock them all over again, but you don't get the notification or addition to your GS until you log on to Live and it 'verifies'.

Everything else on my network connects to the internet and works fine.

It is only Xbox.

The console now appears to be connected to Xbox Live, but am unable to access Xbox Store or digital content I have purchased does not show in the ready to install list. I get the error code "0x8000FFFF", which looking it up says "Some Xbox Live features
are not available because of temporary system maintenance or an unexpected Xbox Live issue. You can't access Xbox Live because of a network configuration issue"

I have also noticed that some content and pages are not loading and showing server can not be reached when accessing the Microsoft sites on the computer.

Starting to think this is a Microsoft problem.

 

Just an update.

Turns out is was a Microsoft problem. Many people were experiencing similar and same problems.

Back up and going, though the achievements done during this time still have not synced with the server yet and not showing on my GS..

As for the achievements, it should update in the next few days. I've had similar issues but they always updated in the end but I know once took about 3-4 days to update.
