    Xbox One S buzzes then dies in middle of games


    I have had my Xbox One S for about a month. Recently it will buzz for a few seconds and die in the middle of a game. It has happened 4 times today, once while getting an update for a game, and twice in the middle of games (2 different games). Then this
    happens, the console buzzes for a few seconds, then power off - no error messages, warnings or anything else - it just dies.

    When I power it back on, it seems to start OK, but it is not predictable when this happens, and clearly this should not happen and my game progress is obviously not saved.

    Is this a hardware issue?

    Xbox One S HDD Buzz

    Hey everyone, sorry if this is more Support than discussion, but I'm trying to figure out if my brand new Xbox One S is defective or not. It seems like the HDD is making a constant buzzing sound. No louder than my fridge would make, but considering its
    brand new, SHOULD this happen or do I have a defective unit? The noise occurs with or without a disc in, only when turned on, and is NOT the clicking/bad fan type of noise - from five feet away, it is clearly audible. It sounds to me like the old external
    hard drives that used to make noise when running.

    Has anyone noticed there is NO WAY of checking battery life in the xbox one controller?

    Mine just died in the middle of a game. It's ridiculous that there isn't a way to tell how much life there is left in your controller. The xbox one is supposed to be the "next generation" yet they have got rid of one of the most simple and important features.

    Extremely noisy Xbox One when playing games.

    Usually the fan will kick up in speed when you're playing a game. I have a feeling that the "buzzing" you describe could be something vibrating inside or around the Xbox when the fan hits a high enough speed.

    Try repositioning your console, remove any loose objects sitting near it, and if it's an Xbox One S, change the orientation (horizontal/vertical). See if that helps with the buzzing.
