Xbox One S booting to unusable state after booting on preview update.

Hi,

I've had my Xbox One S on the preview update for quite a while but as of a few days ago, my Xbox is now booting into a non responsive state.

I'll turn it on, it won't be connected to live and if I select an app to boot, such as settings, it'll either stay on a black screen and do nothing, or it'll eventually come up with a message to try again later, but again will be unable to select any of
the buttons and can do nothing other than powering it off again.

It's really annoying me as I did fix it the first time by resetting through holding the bind/eject/power button, I played a match of Halo 5 then hard powered it off. I turn it back on and the same things happening again where it boots into non responsive
states and can't boot into anything without it hanging on a screen and not progressing.

Is this a known problem with the preview update? Is there any known fix or at least temporary fix?

Xbox store not working after "update"

On Saturday September 29th, there was an update for the store app on my Xbox. After installing this update it has rendered the store unusable on my Xbox. After about a second of booting up the store crashes and says

"Check for an update or uninstall the app"

"The version you have is out of date. (0x800700d8)

Please address this issue immediately. Without store functionality, many features can not be accessed.

Have you tried a factory reset and try doing an offline system update ? To me it seems you corrupted the os on the xbox installed to the internal drive. If you interrupted the update. So i suggest doing a fresh system update while offline after a factory reset. Apart from that any change in the boot animation aka the boot logo when you first boot up the xbox. The time it takes to get to the dashboard before and after this happened. That happened to my xbox series s regardless of being in standby and powersaving.

Try dual booting one being the Public build and the other Preview for testing, many people on these forums use dual booting.

I would suggest you to try the methods below and check if it helps:

Method 1: Windows update troubleshooter

1. Type troubleshooting in the search bar and open it.

2. Click on "view all" on the left pane.

3. Run the Windows update troubleshooter and follow the on-screen instructions.

Method 2: Clean Boot

Place your computer in clean boot state and check if you are able to update the apps. Placing your system in Clean Boot state helps in identifying if any third party applications or startup items are causing the issue. You need to follow the steps

Note: Once you are done with the troubleshooting, perform the steps in "How to reset the computer to start as usual after troubleshooting with clean boot "to reset computer as usual.This could be due to
any third party software conflict. Hence, we would suggest you to place the computer in clean boot state and check.
