Xbox One S Bluetooth Controller For PC

i have done everything and still it asks for a passcode

 

Updated controller using micrUSB cable and app, updated windows, still when im connecting it wants passcode

I have the same problem. I tried 0000,1111,1234 password, but still not working.

 

Ok, so i just tried on one laptop with WIN 10 same version as i have on my PC and it works fine, without asking any passcode, laptop has build in bluetooth, on my PC im using bluetooth dongle, does have this new controller problems with BT dongles? it just
working with build in bluetooth ? im waiting for new dongle to try it out im really curious,

When it asks for a passcode just ignore it and click 'connect' or 'next' or whatever you see. LEAVE THE FIELD BLANK. You don't NEED a passcode. As for it properly working? No idea. Been struggling to get it properly set up and have yet to succeed.

 

It's weird, try to update firmware controller, connect it by USB cable and run Xbox Accesories App and there update firmware in it.

 

Anything that relies on a 3rd party dongle is going to be ä crapshoot at best. The ÛSB chipset may or may not be compatible with both the dongle and the device attempting to connect to the dongle. The same goes for the dongle chipset to USB controller and
dongle to device. Having worked closely over the last decade with CableLabs, I can say with authority that even dongles from the same manufacturer, the same model, and using the same chipset have an alarmingly high failure rate, whether they be USB to 10/100
enet, gig-E, 802.11g/n/ac, Bluetooth, etc.. Anything from EMF from external sources due to bad shielding, onboard USB controllers having issues providing IEEE specified power, QOS style failures where the USB controller seems to prefer and/or prioritize media
based data over network traffic, random lag/freezing, and even strange IRQ errors in device manager. My I5/8gb Surface Pro 2 with an N350 Marvell AVASTAR integrated NIC/Bluetooth Radio Adapter on Win10 Anniversary and One-S Bluetooth controller has been flawless
so far.

 

Same issue. I updated Windows 10 (a big update). Then, my controller had an update available (it wasn't available before the big Windows update). I rebooted and it is still asking for a passcode and won't connect regardless of what I do. The whole reason
I got the Xbox One S controller was for PC and "play anywhere" titles. Seems that there's still a lot of bugs to work out. DS4 at least works with 3rd party apps.
