    Xbox one S blu ray player problem


    My blu ray player on my xbox one S used to play all standard dvds now for some reason it wont. It will play blu ray discs but not standard dvds anymore even though it has done before. It keeps saying 'Make sure the disc you have inserted is a dvd or blu
    ray disc' it is. I have tried hard reset and uninstalling and reinstalling but neither has worked. Can anyone help?

    4k problems ono xbox one s

    I love everything about the Xbox S except for the 4k blue ray player. I bought 2 4k UHD disks, The Revenant and Star Trek Into Darkness. The Revenant had major audio sync problems which just come and go. Star Trek Into Darkness would not even load. Returned

    Hopefully Microsoft will be able to fix this quickly.

    DVD playback quality is still atrocious.

    No I would expect a blu ray player to play DVDs as good as a standalone DVD player. Blu Ray players don't magically improve DVDs. The problem would appear to be that the One blu Ray player doesn't perform well when playing DVDs in comparison to other
    Blu Ray players.

    No, right now you can't attach and use any external DVD/Blu-ray Player.

    The Xbox One S have a Internal DVD/Blu-ray Player. If you have the Xbox One S All Digital you won't have a option ti use Disc only digital media.

    Sure, it is random but I'd say it's safe to conclude that when trying same discs on another UHD player with the same setup and the discs work, that the problem is with the Xbox One S/Blu-Ray application.

    I'm having the same problem. I have a disc that works on other blu-ray players, but stutters on my xbox one. The disc is brand new too. I uninstalled the blu-Ray app and reinstalled, but still get the same problem.
