Xbox one S blu-ray audio/video Sync problem

Hello,

I am having issue watching blu-rays on my Xbox one s.

>Blu-ray app : last update ok

Xbox : up tu date also

link to the tv using hdmi

Link to my logitech 5.1 using Toslink

viewing blu-rays in 24 p always give me an out of sync playback ( video slightly late) . switching to 60hz corrects it but i get hicups from time to time in the playback.

an option to delay video/sound SHOULD définitely be added. Would be a great asset.

Can it be corrected? Shall i wait for a fix?

Xbox One S - DVD & Blu-ray audio out of sync - DVD audio/video sync worse

UPDATE: Xbox One S returned. No solution for audio sync issue on DVD/Blu-ray playback.

After scouring the internet I cannot find a solution. The Xbox Support seems to be correct. There was an issue with the Xbox One S where the audio was not in sync with the video on DVD and Blu-ray playback. I returned the Xbox One S.

Hopefully few other experience the issue.

Xbox One S - DVD & Blu-ray audio out of sync - DVD audio/video sync worse

I just bought the Xbox One S Battlefield version a few days ago. When playing DVDs and Blu-Ray discs, the audio/video is out of sync. The audio/video sync is much worse on DVD discs.

DVD/Blu-ray sync issue is only a fractions of a second, but lip movement does not match speech. Therefore it is most noticeable when people talk fast. I've used the new Star Trek movies for testing because I have DVD, Blu-Ray and Digital copies. Dr. McCoy
talks the fastest, so the sync issue is most noticeable on him.

My issue is limited to the Xbox One S Blu-ray/DVD player. I've tried the same setup with 3 different Blu-ray/DVD players without any issues. When watching TV or videos through streaming apps or cable box the audio/video is perfectly in sync.

I contacted online chat and walked through all their suggestions (including power cycle, reinstall Blu-ray player, clear persistent storage, and reset to factory defaults). Their last suggestion is to exchange my Xbox for a new one.

Does anyone else have other suggestions to correct the DVD audio/video sync issue?

Is anyone else experiencing this audio sync issue? If so, do you have the same Xbox One S Battlefield Edition (Military green with 1 TB hard drive)

I contacted support & tried all their suggestions including a full system reset. The audio lag is slightly reduced for Blu-ray disc playback, but a small lag still exists on blu-ray.

However the audio lag on DVD discs is much worse. I bought my Xbox One S 3 days ago & support told me to return it for a new one.

I have the Xbox One S Battlefield edition (military green Xbox). I'm curious if you have the same version.

Hello!

i dont see why a new one would change anything. This is clearly a software issue. im not sure they will dig into this as blu-ray is not the main feature on a next gen game plateforme.

I don't have a spécial édition. The classic one , all white.

if they were to add a feature that allow users to add or reduce delay ( as it's possible to do on say.. powerdvd for exemple) That would be enough.

Blu rays are unwatchable at the moment of the XB1 audio out of sync or the video is stuttering everywhere

I've also had blu-ray problems since day one, both with out of sync and stuttering. I've had my system replaced through the Microsoft warranty program and the new one is the same, either audio and/or video stutters intermittently. I'm pretty sure it's
the blu-ray app. Which really isn't a big surprise considering how terrible the OS is it's no wonder the blu-ray app is terrible.

2. DVD/Blu-ray/Ultra HD Blu-ray disc(s) titles

a. If possible, can you tell us the time stamp in the movie when A/V lip sync is off?

b. All Blu-ray titles or some?

c. Is Netflix A/V sync off?

a. Audio/Video HW setup

i. TV display (any settings related to audio that your TV might have)

2. Every disc is affected, Blu-ray/UHD Blu-ray/DVD. Netflix is on par with the rest of he system, just a smidge late. Blu-ray is far, far worse.

3a. Audio setup is HDMI to the TV. No special settings. Straight shot. The sound bar is optical out from the TV. I tried connecting optical directly to the One S as well and it was identical to HDMI.

3b. Same results with HDMI and optical. Uncompressed. Choosing Bitstream causes an even longer full second delay so I leave it uncompressed.

What I don't understand is why the sound is coming late to the headphone jack on the controller as well. Both the One S controller and a regular One controller. It's like the entire system is sending out all audio late. The video seems perfect, as I've stated
my button presses are perfectly timed with what's happening on screen in games and the UI. Just the audio is late. This is bizarre to me.
