    Xbox One S Black screen issue


    Hi

    I got the Xbox One S at launch and everything was fine but after I moved it and reset it up, all I got (on the same TV) was a Black Screen, I have tried it with multiple cables, performed a factory reset, Reset the display settings and No change. The TV
    in question is a PlayStation 3D display, my PS4 works fine, my previous XBOX One worked fine and for most of last week the S did too. To make this issue stranger I tested it at few friends at my Dad's and it works fine on 2 TV's but not 4 others...

    I don't know what else to try with this... Xbox support suggested this could be a compatibility issue.. But if that was the case I figured there would be more cases like this. So has anyone had a similar issue or have any suggestion to a possible fix? as
    I cant think of anything else other than getting a replacement from Game.. Any help with this would be much appreciated

    Latest Xbox update causes black dashboard...

    hi there

    It looks like the black dashboard issue is back with the latest Xbox One update April 2018.

    Has anyone else had this recently since the update?

    Ive left my brand new Xbox One X downloading over night and when I switched on the TV in the morning - black screen!

    Pressing the home button brought up the menu and then seconds later the main dashboard sprang back into life.

    Its this exact bug that was recently ‘fixed’:

    Xbox one s won't boot uo

    New Xbox one s console.

    Turn it on and Xbox comes up on green screen then black screen then restarts.

    Help fixing this please.

    Heya Legionari.

    Have you by chance attempted a video setting reset with this
    Troubleshooter    ? If those steps don't help can you clarify what the other four televisions you had trouble with are?

    I had the same issue where my controller was flashing. I successfully fixed my issue after powering down by holding the power button on the console for 10 seconds, unplugged the system from the wall for 30 seconds and turned it back on, worked by doing this
    on the third attempt.

    Not sure if it was an update that may have messed it up or a glitch in the system. Keep in mind I'm o. The preview program.

    Black screen

    I bought my Xbox One S in December 2018 and currently i'm experiencing 2nd black screen in a few months.

    I got first black screen in January 2019 and got my xbox fixed by Microsoft. Now in June 2019 i got 2nd black screen. So frustrated!

    I'm curious what did they fix? What is causing black screens? I'm also playing my games on external hard drive to not strain the internal hard drive but black screen keeps happening.

    I've tried troubleshooting steps (except the usb update cause i don't remember my dashboard version and i still have black screen) so i'm confused nothing works.

    I'm thinking if it gets fixed for a 2nd time i'm going to sell my Xbox One S and buy an Xbox One X so maybe i would have better luck with different hardware. I really don't know... my white Xbox 360 Pro is still alive and never got red ring of death and
    Xbox One S keeps breaking with black screens. I'm lucky with Xbox 360 but so unlucky with Xbox One S. I'm so disappointed with Microsoft hardware.

    Occasional blank screen while playing on xbox one s

    Hi I'm a little late to this. I have a newer Samsung SUHD 65in 4k TV that I just purchased last year. I have this same issue with my Xbox One S. When I put my xbox one S into 4k settings my tv goes black every so often as well. I have noticed if i unplug
    the hdmi cable and plug it back in. The screen will sometimes rapidly flash to black over and over every 2 seconds. I then restarted my xbox one s and it went away. However my tv still flashes to black on 4k settings but currently it does it every 30 mins
    or so, very annoying. So it is not a tv issue it seems like its an Xbox one s communication issue with the tv.

    So is there any xbox updates on this?
