Xbox One S audio sync issues

    Xbox One S audio sync issues


    I was a happy Xbox 360 user for over a decade. Used it to play games, stream, and play DVDs. Upgraded to an Xbox One S about a month and a half ago and have been having issues ever since. Everything else has been resolved, but playing any video through the
    device generates varying (among apps) amounts of noticeable audio sync issues. The audio seems to be falling behind the video. My set up. Is as follows:

    -Xbox One S (fully up to date)

    -Yamaha RX V675 Receiver

    -Samsung UN55J620DAFXZA TV

    -Internet is not an issue (very well functioning 100mbps connection)

    The connections are all the most recent HDMI standard, all secure and clean. The connection is as follows:

    Xbox > HDMI > receiver >HDMI > TV

    Xbox audio is set to "5.1 uncompressed"

    I am at a loss regarding what to do to remedy this. I have the same connection setup for my gaming PC, and have no audio sync problems whatsoever. Additionally, the issue varies from app to app on the Xbox One. Again, this was never an issue with my Xbox
    360. What gives?

    I've read a handful of posts about this, none of the answers work or were satisfactory. Please advise.

    UHD bluray problem XBox one S

    Mine is doing the same on Xbox One S ... and plus the Audio Sync issues make it like watching a Bruce Lee flick

    Xbox One S - DVD & Blu-ray audio out of sync - DVD audio/video sync worse

    UPDATE: Xbox One S returned. No solution for audio sync issue on DVD/Blu-ray playback.

    After scouring the internet I cannot find a solution. The Xbox Support seems to be correct. There was an issue with the Xbox One S where the audio was not in sync with the video on DVD and Blu-ray playback. I returned the Xbox One S.

    Hopefully few other experience the issue.

    Discovered the same issue tonight for the first time since getting an Xbox One a few weeks ago. Regular DVD had noticeable syncing issues throughout the movie. Adjustments made to my TV and sound bar were negligible or made it worse.

    It looks like I have to go buy a spdif cable in order to have decent audio with video. Not happy.

    I have an RCA TV and Vizio sooundbar. Xbox One is connected to the TV via HDMI and TV is connected to soundbar via digital out. I know this isn't an ideal setup but I've never had issues outside of the Xbox One, so...

    Xbox One S YouTube audio sync issue

    If you say the audio delay happens on the Home Screen as well:

    My Xbox One X sometimes has temporary delays if it's installing a downloaded game, as long as it's working on the hard drive. After that, the lag and delay is gone.

    So can you restart your console by holding the power button on the console for about 10 seconds and then restarting the console. Make sure the console shows a green startup screen with the Xbox One logo during the boot sequence, and after the restart, that
    it doesn't have any downloads in the queue.

    If the delays are gone in the Home Screen but not the YouTube App, you might have to contact the YouTube support, as they are responsible for what their app is doing. Microsoft only provides the marketplace to download the app, but has nothing to do with
    how the app works.

    Also: Is your console enrolled in the Insider Preview program?
