Xbox One S audio cuts out for a second every 30 minutes when 4K resolution selected.

anyone have any updates on this with Samsung? I ordered the Xbox one X I hope I don’t have the same issue!!!

 

I have a similar issue with an LG SJ8000 tv, when I enable the Ultra Deep Color, I have no audio. I tried every setting, reset, and everything, it doesnt seem to work, I wish I would have at least some sound like you guys.

I have latest Xbox update with the new Design and all, but still no sound.

 

Not true. I have a Samsung TV and I have the exact same problem, first with my s and now with my Scorpio.

 

I have this same issue on my Samsung TV. It's definitely an Xbox issue. I have an S and Scorpio and when I play games in 4k the audio drops non stop for me... Sound cuts in and out every other second for long periods. Strangely when I'm watching 4k Blu-ray
I have no sound issues it's only games. Even stranger, every game I tried does this except one, the new cod ww2 on my Scorpio. When I'm watching Netflix or direct TV 4k I have no issues so this makes me believe it's a Xbox issue. I even exchanged 3 different
S models and had same results. When I switch back to 1080p no issues at all. I've tried different HDMI ports and cables and nothing fixes it. Someone please help

 

Do you have the same problem on your scorpio? I have it with my S and my Scorpio and I'm getting pissed off. I have the ks8000. My audio drops out nonstop I have to play with the sound off because that's how bad it is.

 

Having the same issue with my Scorpio and my Vizio P65-C1. No issue with audio on my launch Xbox one, but since I have introduced the Scorpio into my HT and set it to 4k I've been getting audio drops, and video drops two or three
times. Most of the time it's audio and in a twenty-minute show, can happen every few minutes, definitely more than 30-45. Happens with Plex, cable tv, Netflix. Thankfully I haven't noticed it playing Shadow of war, but the majority of the time the Xbox is
used watching tv and other apps more than gaming and it's annoying. I'm not going to say I'm glad I'm not the only one, but at least we can see it is happening across a wide range of tv's and Xbox's which makes it sound like it's a firmware or handshake issue
with MS and the tv manufacturers.

I'll try setting it to 1080 and see, but to other comments in the thread, that defeats the entire purpose of buying the console and trying to leverage the capabilities and pass through. Frustrating.

 

Same problem here, never had trouble with the standard xbox one but the one x arrived, audio drops every few minutes, LG B6 thru LG SJ9 and it doesn't matter if it's a direct connection, indirect, or whatever.

Also, in case someone else gets this issue, a weird pattern of white dots moving across the screen sometimes.

Wince there's a lot of tvs and brands involved here, has this been pushed to xbox support?

 

I was wrong, does happen while gaming but appears to be an issue when set to HDR. Turning off HDR did fix the audio issue . There were some other known HDR issues with color and black levels that are supposed to be being fixed by
MS. Just checked and I have an update available so updating now to see if it is still an issue.

 

After the update, HDR colors look better, however, audio issue is still present when set to HDR.

I've had some interesting experiences. I was first having HDR not pass through, after swapping out a expensive HDMI cable to the XBOX Supplied from the Yamaha to Sony I got HDR. But once I accomplished this, my sound would intermittently cut out. So my feeling
is that it's closely related to HDR issues. I'm going to try reverting my settings back down from 12bit to 10bit and 8bit and report back. I am going to invest in some Monster 1000 cables just to try it out (I work in a retailer, so I have that tool up my
sleeve).

 

I have an Xbox One X Scorpio Edition and have audio drop out problems too. I've been struggling to find out of it is a TV issue or Xbox problem and feel it is the Xbox. I've tried different HDMI cables and ports on my LG 55B7A OLED TV with no change.
Had an LG technician look at my TV and he felt the television was fine. The LG TV Netflix app runs audio fine optically to my receiver with no audio drop-out noticed. My PS4 hooked up via HDMI to my TV does not have issues with audio drop out with movies
or games. My Xbox One X is connected via HDMI to the TV and I get variable audio drop-out with games, blu ray movies, or apps like Netflix. The time period is variable where it doesn't seem to occur for maybe 20 to even 40 minutes, but then I might get a
few drop outs in a row. I sent my Xbox One X in for repair for a different issue (my home screen was black) and navigating screens was freezing or very slow), but I did mention the audio issue and was hoping it would be addressed. I'm not sure what support
did and they may not have addressed the audio complaint since it was tacked on towards the end of my support ticket or whatever. Really appreciate any advice from people. Thank you for your time.

is possible that the dolby setup might not be compatible with the

console itself that's why ity's having this issues, you can try

contacting the device publisher and see if they can help you out with

the properset up of the said sound system.

There should be nothing wrong with the console itself, can you please try another sound system if it works with xbox?

If it does it's posisbel that the first situation is the answer to thi issue that you are having.

We'll
