    Xbox One S at setup screen after power off


    Hello,

    So I had an update for my console this morning. After the update every time I power off the Xbox comes back on at the initial start up screen and I have to go through the setup again. I will have an active update waiting on the setting screen and it
    will update fine. It seems to have no problems after the setup but it is very annoying to have to do every time. Is there a fix to this?

    I just set up my console a few minutes ago, and it also took a long time after the update downloaded waiting at the green Xbox One screen. I turned the console off by touching the power sensor on the console, and the console started to shut down with a pulsating
    power light. After about a minute, the LED on the power brick turned yellow, when the console completely shut down. I then powered it up with the guide button on the contoller, and after a short wait on the Logo screen, setup continued.

    Maybe it's really a case of "have you tried turning it off and on again?"

    screen brightness on power up

    I have had my xbox since day one but starting yesterday everytime I power on my xbox one the screen is very dark (not blank), only solution is to power off and power back on which fixes the screen brightness

    anyone else having these issues?

    Note: i have done nothing to my setup

    Hey there TheJFKNoScoper!

    If you're still having trouble with this please try a quick power cycle on your Xbox One by holding down the power button for 10 seconds (or until the Xbox One powers off all the way). After the console shuts off power it back on and give the OneGuide setup
    a try again to see if that helps :)

    I have a similar problem: my Xbox One X after starting Forza 7 the first time switched off. After powering on it switches off after about 3 seconds. So no usual hard boot is possible. I disconnected everything, held the power button
    for >10 seconds - no change. Any idea?

    Note: my old Xbox One was in the insider preview ring, I exported the setup today to an external HDD and imported this during the initial setup of the X simply having attached the HDD and answering to use the existing setup.
