Xbox One S Annoying Fans

During the Black Friday sale i bought my first Xbox one so i could co-op Halo 4 and 5 with my brother. The 1TB Minecraft Edition. It had a slightly "grindy" fan so i returned it. Its actually still in the mail to the Toronto return center. Not seeing an
option for exchange and wanting to take advantage of the deal i immediately bought another one. I opened the new one last night and set it up in a temporary spot..... and its even worst than the first. The first i could only hear from a few feet away. Since
i play at my desk that would be 100% of the time. This one i can hear from across an 11 foot room. Really hard to enjoy a game while listening to never-ending constant robot crickets the entire time.

Two questions..

1. I just noticed in the return section that when they get my return they will send a replacement
OR a refund.. What are the chances im going to end up with 2 Xbox Ones? :/

2. How do i contact support other than on the phone? I only use a prepaid phone and i don't feel like wasting tons on mins being on hold. I tried Xbox support chat and they couldn't help other than sending in for repair. I feel like i payed for a new console
not a repaired one :/

Xbox One S fan replacement

My Xbox One S fan is making a buzzing sound that are really annoying.

Are Microsoft offering a replacement fan for this console since this is a very known problem?

Annoying fan on Xbox One S

Yeah, it seems as though Microsoft put a pretty crappy fan in the xbox one s. I've returned 3 or 4 systems and even went to different stores to try to get one from a different batch. Almost all of their fans sound fairly bad...but
each one in different ways. Some might sound kind of like a hissing sound, other might sound kind of like they are grinding or vibrating. How hard would it be for Microsoft to put a half way decent fan into these systems? I realize some people might not
notice these types of things or don't care as much...or they put their systems in places where they might not notice the noise, but fans in consumer electronics should be fairly quiet or you should only be able to barely hear the fan and mostly just some wind
noise. My PC with 2 or 3 fans going in it is even quieter...but then again I didn't put a garbage fan in there. The sad part is, if we keep buying poorly designed products or products with varying quality...that is what they'll keep selling us unfortunately.
Get it together Microsoft.

 

Take it back and exchange it. Mine is very quiet. It shouldn't be loud like that.

Hi, sorry you are having so many issues. Where did you purchase from? If it's so new they should replace it but I see your issue if you now have two. If you brought directly from microsoft you can actuly request a call back from them. Instead of wasting
your minutes on your phone. Due to the complication of there now being two orders I would recommend you try speak to someone. You can request a callback via this link: Xbox

I bought them both from the microsoft online store. I dont have two just yet.

Hoping i get a refund for the first. I've tried Xbox support and they are not the same as the store support heh

If you are not wanting both consoles in the end when you get the second replaced. We recommend going through the

Microsoft support select the contact support a virtual agent will then show ask them to request to give you a call and see if they are able to help you return one for refund or what are your options. Also, if there is a Microsoft store near you can go there
also.

Hey, thanks for the reply. The person on the phone confirmed i would not be getting an exchange for the first console and would be getting a refund in a couple days. He also set up an exchange for the second console

I looked quite a bit and could not see how. Xbox Support was easy but they are
not the MS store and couldn't help other than to set up a repair.
