    Xbox One S and Kinect adapter (for existing Xbox One and Kinect owner)


    I have an Xbox One with Kinect and just bought a Xbox One S and need the adapter for the Kinect to work with it.

    All 3 devices are registered with Microsoft under my name.

    I believe an adapter will be provided free in this case.

    Everything I've read said to contact Microsoft Support and if all 3 devices are registered a Kinect adapter would be provided for free.

    Go to Microsoft Support Chat and state what you need and they will ask for your Gamertag, Xbox One S Serial Number and the best contact email address and phone number to reach you and complete address with zip code.

    Support is fast, efficient and quite frankly the best.

    The only way to get a free Kinect adapter is
    complete this fulfillment form    , which came about for users (who are existing Kinect owners) upgrading from the Xbox One to the Xbox One S.

    The conditions to getting a free Kinect adapter requires the serial number of these three devices:

    - Xbox One console

    - Xbox One S console

    - Kinect Sensor for Xbox One

    Some few months back, Microsoft officially discontinued the Kinect adapter accessory for plugging the Xbox One Kinect Sensor into the Xbox One S/X. The only remaining stock is likely available from resellers on Amazon/eBay (at a
    high price). The only other alternative is to just play your Xbox One Kinect games on an original model Xbox One console, as that has the Kinect port built-in on the back.

    If you mean an adapter to use the Xbox 360 Kinect sensor on the Xbox One, that does not exist.

    Also do you have an original Xbox One with Kinect directly connected to the console, or a Xbox One S or X with a separate Kinect Adapter to connect Kinect to your S or X console?
