    So i have bell aliant fiber 150 internet service...my xbox network speed test and stats......was testing on average from a download speed of 130 to 150mbps....and upload speed averaged from 75 to 90 mbps. Now the other day i had the internet upgraded to 1 gigabit service......now at the new homehub3000 they installed its tests fine at 1.09gbps..download speed and 940 upload speed...........but when i test it on xbox speed and statistics test it fluctuates from 60 to 150 mbps download speed and 12 to 30 mbps upload speed. Now when i run a ping test on the internet explorer app its tests at 250mbps and 2 to 300 upload speed...........so my download upload speeds were registering faster speeds with my old modem and router....and slower internet then with my new internet and homehub3000 router/modem. Why will my xbox not reconsize the high speed on its test? What can i do to get faster speeds from my ethernet connection............?

    Then why are my tests slower then before? Is that on xboxs end?...........Only thing that changed was my router hub setup...........and service

    The bandwidth you oay for frim your ISP has nothing to do with the bandwidth alotted to you by the services you access. Even half Gigabit download speeds are exceedingly rare

    In the morning on the old router and modem setup with the fibe 100 i had a download speed of 149mbps and up was 80mbps......after the upgrade of the modem/router hub my internet went down to 88 mbps and 14mbps........cannot even get the speed i had day and half ago.....my game.ping in warzone was always arou d 50 to 80ms....now its 130 to 150.....im so confused.......

    The Xbox One utilizes gigabit ethernet for wired connections, so a Cat5e cable will even suffice.

    Cat6 is a bit overkill (supports 10Gbps bandwidth), but you can still use it. This all really only matters if your home internet is at gigabit (1000Mbps) speeds.
