Xbox One S All-Digital Edition HDMI Audio Dropping

Starting a month or two after purchasing my Xbox, I've run into an issue where the audio will drop for a second or two every few minutes, and sometimes the entire HDMI connection drops. Issue appears after 15 minutes or so of game time (any game).

For my set up, I've got the Xbox plugged into my HDMI AV receiver. The system is set to 4K, HDR10, Dolby digital 5.1. My receiver and my TV are both less than a year old. I've swapped the HDMI cable out twice now to known-working cables. About 20 minutes
ago, I flipped the Xbox over to 1080p, and I haven't had any of these issues yet, but that doesn't sound like a real long-term solution. (even though none of these games are going to play at 4K anyway on an Xbox One s).

I haven't seen this exact issue talked about on the forms yet, so is anyone else seeing this?

Agree with Brendan. Start by direct connecting to eliminate the extras in the equation. I think a lot of times we jump straight to assuming the problem is the system when it may be another piece in the puzzle entirely. Not to say Xbox is lack of any
issues, I had to replace my X within two weeks of buying it. If it is your system, Brendan's direction to the website is great. They were able to get me back up and running quickly when I had my issue.

I see you've swapped the cable, but have you tried different HDMI ports? I would also bypass the receiver and connect straight to the TV. Process of elimination is key to narrowing down where the issue lies.

If you find that it always happens regardless of where the console HDMI is connected, you might need to reach out to support and get a repair order started.

Alrighty, I'll give it a shot. Granted, the Xbox is the only 4K-capable device I have in the house right now, meaning it's the only thing trying to pass 4K through my Onkyo receiver. Who knows, maybe that's the culprit. Also still under warranty.
