Xbox One S (All Digital Edition) and an older TV (LG 32LH2000)

Hi,

I have a friend who has a son. She wants to buy an Xbox One S (all digital edition) for him this christmas, but she also wants to keep her old TV 'cause it's works just fine. The TV is an LG 32LH2000. I'm not sure the two device are compatible. Could someone
confirm it? Thanks in advance.

Hi,

Yes these consoles are HDMI only and can only be connected via HDMI. You don't need a backup option. The console will automatically select the correct resolution for the TV. The console and the TV are compatible, it will work.

Thank you for your answer. And what about the connectivity? I saw (if I remember correctly) an hdmi output on the TV. I assume I have to use that and there is no other option with this particular device. So I mean I don't have a backup option, like hack
together the TV and the xbox via a scart cable with an scart-hdmi adapter or something?

Hi,

All Xbox consoles, even the latest released machines support 720P as a minimum resolution. The LG 32LH2000 is an 'HD Ready' TV (720P) it will work. A 1080P (Full HD or FHD) TV or monitor is optimum though for the best picture quality. It's compatible don't
worry.

Yes - Older LG Plasma

This happened to me twice last night. I am on an older LG plasma tv. I do have audio and can hear both the game and my party.

NOTE: I have my xbox running through a receiver to the tv. The tv is muted in my scenario.
