Xbox One S 4K output causing black flashing with Vizio PQ65-F1

When I enable the 4K video output on Xbox One S it causes intermittent black screen flashing on my new Vizio PQ65-F1

Set-up: Tivo Roamio>Xbox One S>Yamaha RX-A660BL>Vizio PQ65-F1 on HDMI 1 input on TV. All HDMI cables are high speed 18GBps.

When I enable the 4K display video output setting on the Xbox One S the problem happens when watching TV or playing games.

When I change it to 1080p the problem is resolved. Allow 4K setting is turned on and YCC 4:2:2: is turned off in advanced settings.

Using a Roku through the receiver with 4K to the TV works fine no issues, the problem is only with Xbox One. on 4K video output.

Is there any way I can play Xbox One S with 4K video output for TV watching and gaming on the Vizio PQ65-F1 without these HDMI handshaking issues?

Thanks.

:)

Xbox One X not working in 4k on Vizio TVs

I have the issue with my Vizio P Series Quantum PQ65-F1 TV. I hope the fix comes out soon. Can't believe Xbox would alienate OEMs with Dolby Vision. Poor planning Xbox!!!

Has anyone found a fix for this yet? I didn't know Xbox One S didn't work with Vizio 4k HDR and now am also getting a black screen. Are there any updates?

Hi, do you get the same problem if you connect the Xbox directly to the Tv ?

5. Hey, I suggest you restore your display settings to default as the Xbox One will automatically detect the best output for your display.

The issue is your receiver. Your Xbox one technology is not meant to be filtered through another device. Best option is to connect your console directly to your TV set. Even having a surge protector will filter a specific amount of electricity so all direct
connections are recommended. If you do decide to use your receiver you would have to contact their support for the issue your having.

Your Xbox One allows you to integrate cable, satellite, or over-the-air television with a broad range of home theater system configurations. Unlike a traditional console setup, there are a few more details to consider when integrating TV. As with most additions
to an entertainment system, there are many ways to add a new device, and the exact details will vary based on your needs and preferences.

Surround sound setup

Some guidelines

• Be direct. Plug your Xbox One directly into your TV if at all possible.
• Be simple. The less complicated the installation, the fewer problems you're likely to have.

Basic setup

The most direct setup option is to connect your cable or satellite set-top box to your Xbox One with an HDMI cable, and then connect your Xbox One to your TV with another HDMI cable.

Note Video output for the Xbox One console is HDMI only.

• This is the most direct path and best for entertainment systems using the TV speakers or external speakers connected to the TV.
• Your theater system will need to support audio over HDMI for this configuration.

Xbox One S 4K output causing black flashing with Vizio PQ65-F1 [IMG]

Note In this configuration, Xbox One will always need to be powered on in order to watch the Live TV signal being sent from your cable/satellite box. If you would like to create a situation where you can watch TV through the Xbox OneGuide
when the console is on, but also be able to watch TV when the console is shut off, you will need to use an HDMI splitter between the cable/satellite box and the Xbox One.

Important The above setup is not recommended, due to the varying quality of HDMI splitters being sold today. HDMI splitters can cause a degradation n signal,

HDCP errors
, or other issues that might affect your picture, sound quality, and general use of the OneGuide features in Xbox One.

Thanks for the response. I don't think "do not use Xbox with a receiver" is the right answer as you basically eliminate surround sound with that response - xbox supports that including Dolby Atmos.

Thanks anyway.
