Xbox One S - 4K issues

Hi Guys

I have a Panasonic 4k 60HZ and its connected via an amplifier which has 4k output 2.2 HDMI. SKY Q runs perfectly fine but when I connect using the Xbox One S HDMI cable included I get the following issues;

4K ticked

50hz ticked

24hz ticked

But when I click 4K details I get an error (red circle with cross through) Your Tv does not support 4k UHD (60hz) video output will not be upscaled to 4K.

I am only allowed to set the 4K ticked box once I take off auto TV detect and select HDMI 1080p setting....

Any help or options would be appreciated

I've seen similar posts to yours with various 4K TVs. The best outcomes have been those who have contacted their TVs maker support staff and Xbox Support to get them to run through your settings on TV and console to make sure all settings are correct.

One example was a gamer who got a new Samsung 4K but in the Xbox settings it said his TV didn't support HDR10 gaming. Turned out it was just a case of the TV out of the box didn't have some HDR settings enabled, once set on all was good

Do you have the same problem if you connect the Xbox directly to the TV ?

Some A/V receivers require you to manually change a setting, there may be a Mode setting for the HDMI ports on the receiver which needs to be set to in order to enable 60Hz output.

 

Do you manage to get this fixed? I've got the exact same issue with my Panasonic 4K TV - though my XBox is connected directly to the TV.

 

For anyone else that has this problem I solved mine by switching the TV off at the wall and then switching it back on. Auto delect now works and it detects 4K and HDR.
