Xbox One S (4k Blank Screen) HDCP 2.2 FIX for Qnix UHD3216R 4K Monitor

If you a Qnix UHD3216R Monitor and get a black screen when trying to play a UHD Blu-ray or are trying to play any 4K content be it on Netflix or Hulu etc... but it doesn't look like 4K quality, then this will fix everything.

The problem is the monitor is not properly supporting HDCP 2.2 and needs an update. Here's what I did...

I contacted Qnix, within 20mins they responded and sent me a firmware update. I installed it and BAM everything's working. Proper HDCP 2.2 support on both Xbox and Playstation.

If you want the firmware go to their site - contact (http://qnix.biz/?page_id=105) use Chrome and let it translate the site. Fill out the contact form and tell
them you need a HDCP 2.2 firmware update. The'll email you the instructions. Or feel free to ask me and I'll forward you on their email (which is broken English) and also give you my own steps which should be easier to follow.

I have flashed two Qnix UHD3216R monitors and both work perfect with both the Xbox One S and PlayStation 4 Pro.

Samsung KS8500 4K Issue

Hey, in order for 4K to work, all devices must have HDCP 2.2. 4k content makers use this software to protect its 4K content. The Xbox One S has HDCP 2.2 but your TV may not have it. Check in your manual or call samsung and ask them. I actually ran into
the same problem. I bought a 4K UHD HDR compatable denon a/v receiver. But for some reason it did not support HDCP 2.2. So now I have to directly connect the Xbox to my TV. My LG TV supports HDCP 2.2.

Having an HDCP 2.2 compliant display allows you to play 4K movies, either through streaming or UHD blu-rays. Having an outdated version of HDCP will cause the 4K content to drop down to 1080p, or not be available at all.

While there is supposed to be no HDCP used during gameplay, YMMV; I remember past threads of people complaining about the screen randomly going blank while playing games because their displays were outdated. I'd stick to HDCP 2.2 compliant monitors while
you're shopping around, just so you don't have to deal with any compatibility problems down the road.

Netflix 4K FIX

Xbox set to output uhd 4K !!!

Here is what to do HDMI kable in HDCP 2.2 port HDMI (MHL)!!!

If xbox is not in that port no netflix in 4K . HDCP is 'High-bandwidth Digital Content Protection' this port is used for copyright protected video.
