    Xbox one S 1TB making chirping noises


    Hey all

    i recently bought an Xbox one s 1Tb

    and ive noticed after s few days of using it, it has this weird chirping noise .

    when put into instant on mode it makes the noise but after a fee minutes the noise increases slightly

    also when installing something it makes a weird noise while the console is powered on

    my question is should i be worried about this as the xbox still has the one year warranty and i have a 3 month warranty from the place i bought it

    should i exchange it for a new one or is this a normal thing with the console

    because if they say this noise is an issue it should not be an issue in the first place also could someone please tell me how an xbox one s should sound like without no faults or defects or weird noises

    It's hard to get an idea of what the noise is from text descriptions, you could always take a video and post to youtube and share the link so that we can hear the noise our selves.

    It could be the fan, or the disc spinning, but they shouldn't be chirping noises

    i understand about the noises when a disc is inserted but this noise is without a disc

    i dont have a youtube channel but i can send it over email as ive taken 3 recordings for each noise and scenario

    perhaps it is best to simply go to the next shop and listen to the exhibits. If there's no store in your area, you might have a friend with an Xbox!

    Hey once again people

    so update on my xbox

    i’ve just phoned the place where i purchased the console from and they keep telling me its a “common thing” .

    And i should not be worried about anything

    but i still feel theres something wrong and the guy told me to bring it in so they can check it out

    he also said that if the software part of it eg: the games run fine and the console does not overheat then everything should be fine
