    Xbox one s 1440p 120hz problems

I'm using an LG 32gk650f-b (1440p,144hz) monitor and I am having issues selecting 1440p @ 120hz. I have verified with my PC and with LG customer support that the monitor is capable of 1440p @ 120hz over HDMI 2.0. However, the xbox allows me to only select
    1440p @ 60hz or 1080p @ 120hz.

This link: https://beta.support.xbox.com/help/hardware-network/display-sound/tv-resolutions, under 1440p states that the xbox one s has this function.

I have spoken with xbox support specialists twice, I have performed a soft factory reset twice, a offline reset once, and still have no solution. Additionally, I have tried every combination of turning on/off freesync and post processing on my monitor. I
have also been through a ton of xbox support forum links asking about this same problem. Is this no longer a function of the xbox?

One specialist told me my monitor might not be supported, but if this is the case, why does the above shared link not state only specific monitors/brands supported?

Anyone have any further suggestions of things to try or have found a resolution yourselves?

    :)

Do I Need A Xbox Series X or S To Have 4K Resolution At 120hz?

You will need the Xbox Series X for 4K 120hz. The Series S can only do 1440p 120hz

    Xbox Series X. 144Htz at 1440p

Many thanks for your response but I'm afraid you are mistaken. HDMI 2.0 has always supported 1440p at 120hz. Even the article you sent says this.

"The HDMI 2.0 connector was previously featured on Xbox One X and Xbox One S, with bandwidth limitations locking content to 4K resolution at 60Hz, or 1440p at 120Hz"

So my question remains How do I get 1440p at 120Hz on the xbox series X with the huawei mateview gt34 monitor that is capable of supporing this?

    Xbox one s 144hz

    Hi _wojdazeg_,

The xbox One S will connect to a 1440p /120hz monitor. However bare in mind that most games on the Xbox are capped to between 30 & 60hz.

Also your monitor would have to support 120hz/1440p over HDMI as the console does not have a displayport connector.

Will Xbox provide a fix for HDMI 2.0 144hz monitor to support 1440p 120hz/VRR OS Display Settings

Which xbox are you trying to connect with? The xbox one s and the x should be able to run 1440p at 120hz. They should be compatible with VRR also.

    Xbox Series X doesn't support 1440p@120Hz with 1440p@144Hz monitor

Until you don't proof me this specific monitor (Xiaomi Mi Curved 34) enables 1440p@120hz with Xbox Series X, your comment is meaningless.

Yeah, there are some monitors with 1440p@120hz support for Xbox series s/x, that simply doesn't mean that ANY 1440p+ monitor with 120hz+ (especially 144hz+) can do it. Period.

I've tried everything, that (1440p@120hz) simply doesn't work with that monitor. I've already listed every step I've tried, I'm not gonna write it again.
