Xbox one runs initially slow after update...

After installing the latest update in November 2015 (I did receive an "there was a problem with the update" and maybe an error code i dont remember because I saw no options to go from there so I pressed the power button a couple of times, {I was too frustrated
at the time to look it up} it restarted and sucessfully updated) When I went to play a game and app they where all loading (appearing invisable till loading, still taking up space like they were there), it took about 5 minutes per game to load unto my games
and apps, once it was loaded it was there for each console start. But now it takes about 5 mins after launching a game for it to run at the speed it should, otherwise it just sits there running really slow. Once that ~5mins is up then the game runs just
fine. Ive tried unplugging my console to reset it, but that does nothing. I would try to reset to factory settings, but then I would have to individually redownload all the rockband 4 songs, which is a pain cause there is alot.

Any suggestions would be very helpful!!

Microsoft killed original Xbox one with update

My Xbox One, had since day one, still running perfect. After latest update it runs fine. Not sure if it is faster or slower (don’t run a stopwatch between commands). But, have not noticed any super speed up or super slow downs. Have no problems starting
apps or playing games.

 

Whats with all the updates?

The updates have made my connection slower to be honest. My xbox runs a bit slower than before now.

 

Have you already tried uninstalling a game or app and reinstalling to see if they load faster after doing so? When you unplugged it, did you leave it unplugged for at least 5 minutes?

If you have access to an external hard drive, you can copy everything to that to prevent having to reinstall anything after a potential factory reset, as I do think that may be your next step

 

I tried uninstalling a game and reinstalling it and it still ran slow the first 5 mins. When i unplugged the console it was only for a minute or two. I will try unplugging it for 5 or more minutes. Otherwise I don't have a external hard drive, but I may
have to try a hard reset.

After disconnecting everything from my console and letting it sit over night, the first 5 mins of running a game seems to have speed up some. I can also use my dashboard at full speed during this first 5 mins after selecting a game (I couldn't get the thing
to come up again during the 5 min before the reset) I will try to reset again and see if it speeds up some more, otherwise at this speed its ok.
