Xbox One Routine Updates Need Work!

I'm so tired of always getting random updates in the middle of a game. It's really frustrating when you're playing online games like Ark or in the middle of an online match and you get forced into an update screen leaving your character to be killed. This
has happened numerous times for me and it is extremely annoying. Is it not possible to make a notice pop up before the update to give us a 10 minute warning? Doesn't sound like it would be that complicated and it would be extremely appreciated.

Does anyone else run into this problem often?

A question about dx12

@ Randver, All you need to do is use the routine, DX12 is short cuts for the programmer. Instead of writing the whole routine to do a task, it is already in memory. You just need to set it up and excute the routine.

I was wondering which to use Instant on or Energy Saving?

So I just received a Xbox one for Christmas and was wondering which is the best to use instant on or energy saving mode? If using the instant on mode are there any side effect's that I should be aware about like does overheat x1 console or break them?Click to expand...

There is no risk running instant on, with Instant on you will receive updates that will download while the console is "off" and it allows for voice commands to power on the console. A side effect is routinely you will need to do a hard reset of the Xbox one which is just a full reboot not deleting data.

It sounds like you are in the preview program which results in a number of updates the members of the community not in the program don't get. You could opt out of that program and you would not get those updates. support.xbox.com/.../xbox-update-preview-faq

Also, make sure you have your console in the instant on mode so it can do some updates in the off hours. support.xbox.com/.../learn-about-power-modes
