    Xbox One - Rock band 4 Game - 360 Guitar, will it work?


    So i read that rock band 4 are allowing you to use your old rock band 4 guitars/drums, So does this mean that the old xbox 360 guitars will connect to the xbox one?

    If so, Will it have to be wired, or will wireless also work? Cheers - Upset that it will cost $150 to purchase a brand new plastic guitar for the game. Hoping that 360 guitar will be backwards compatible with xbone.

    Hello

    If you buy rockband 4 on disc it should come in a box together with an adapter

    This adapter allows you to connect Xbox360 peripherals to your Xbox One so the Guitar hero controller should work as well since it uses the same signal to connect as the rockband wireless controller did

    Harmonix and Mad Catz are selling a $25 adapter that allows you to use almost all of the Xbox 360 music controllers with Xbox One. This adapter will only work with wireless controllers. USB microphones will work with Xbox One without the adapter.

    I loved Rockband and I am left wishing I was on PS4. I have all wired guitars, 2 lips microphones and a ion drum kit. None of it works. If I had bought the same set of equipment as a PS3 owner going to PS4 it would all work. Hopefully when the Xbox One
    goes to its windows 10 OS there might be some change.

    Rock band is not backwards compatible. Rock Band 4 is available for purchase for the One. The guitar from the 360 would not be compatible.

    xBox360 controllers compatability with xBoxOne

    Microsoft confirmed just before the backward compatibility started that games that required peripherals such as Rock Band, Lips, DJ Hero, Guitar Hero would not be backward compatible as the peripherals were not compatible with the Xbox One.

    You can use the Xbox 360 wireless instruments on the Xbox One using the Rock Band 4 adapter, but only for Rock Band 4
