    Xbox One ridiculously slow download speeds.


    Macbook on Wifi - 206mbps download, 12mbps upload, 15 ping.

    Xbox on Wifi - 2.73mbps download, 7.41mbps upload, 80 ping, 0% packet loss.

    Both are in the exact same location. The internet is not in use by any device. I have also had the exact same issues on a different broadband provider and home. My Xbox is consistently getting incredibly low download speeds making playing online or updating
    games impossible.

    I have tried multiple routers, locations and even paid to increase my internet speed (which is reflected in the speedtest on the Macbook) yet the Xbox always fails to get anything good. Ethernet cable is not an option for practicality though when tested,
    it provided marginal improvements.

    Also....

    Just bought Borderlands 1 from the store, and no problem whatsoever with the download.... So far it has been a smooth DL. Except it being ridiculously slow.

    That being said, there is a problem with the download speeds (at least up here, in Finland....).

    HI There

    What i would look at is the DNS setup that you have on your xbox, as well to make sure you are on Cable and not Wifi

    Although the Google DNS servers are generally fast, they are also really busy.

    What i would recommend is using a combination of DNS (1.1.1.1 and 8.8.8.8) on your console.

    I second this. I have around 500mbps download speed though am currently sat at kbps trying to download the latest MW update.

    This is not a new issue unfortunately, and have tried all the same methods to resolve this without success. It makes no sense 😕

    i think it's something inside home router or wifi.

    i downloaded RDR2 just fine with normal speed.

    Are you sure this isn't your ISP throttling the speed to the Xbox servers? I don't have a massive download speed (max is 40mbps) and when I download a game or an update, it always maxes out to that.

    Just out of curiosity, what region are you in? Maybe they have an issue just in your region with the CDN.
