XBOX ONE RIBBON CABLE CLIP

I recently opened my Xbox One up, which is well outside of warranty, in order to clean it. When I removed the ribbon cable for the faceplate a tab broke on the small clip that holds the cable into the socket. Does anyone has any idea where I can find a
replacement clip? I have searched to no avail. The ribbon cable itself is readily available but I can't seem to locate the clip itself.

Definitely, all i need is the tiny plastic clip that holds the ribbon cable in the socket.

Hi there,

Although we do not condone opening consoles, you seem to be well aware of the warranty situation. Microsoft will not service consoles that have been opened or tampered with.

My best advice, would be to look on sites like eBay, and to purchase another faulty or spare parts console, to replace the part, maybe even the faceplate only. Send the seller a message and see how you go.

Depending on the damage, some parts are replaceable, but some aren't. Consulting YouTube for visual guides, would be a wise, before delving in.

Self repair is not something that is discussed in the forums.

I think your best option right now would be to bring your Xbox to a local repair shop and see if they have a replacement part. It would probably be cheaper than trying to buy a whole other console for spare parts.
