Xbox One returned poorly?

    Xbox One returned poorly?


    I sent out my Xbox One for service which was taken care of and sent back to me, however when I received it, it was not put back together correctly. There was bits of tape all over it and the outer casing was not put back together correctly. I took some
    pictures and went to the service chat option and explained what had happened. I was asked if it was working and I said that it was and was told that there was really nothing to be done. I guess I understand that because it is working, but it is a little
    annoying to not have my very expensive piece of machinery not treated with care... I wouldn't bring this up because it was working fine, but recently it has started to freeze about once a day and I am worried that it is connected. Any help or advice from
    anyone would be very appreciated.

    Get a new xbox

    Apparently know one from xbox knows so I returned my Xbox.

    Do you prefer Xbox 360 or Xbox One?

    I loved my 360, traded for an Xbox One. Hated the Xbox One so much I returned it. Long Live the 360!

    Sorry to hear of your servoce experience.

    In regards to support telling you that there is nothing to be done: that is entirely incorrect.

    When you send your console in for repair, it has to be returned in one of two conditions:

    - Same condition as it was sent (only if found to be working correctly)

    OR

    - Better condition (repaired or replacement [new] console).

    Anything else is not acceptable.

    I recommend you get back on to support here:
    support.xbox.com/.../contact-us
    and show them your thread here, with my reply, and don't take no for an answer, because if that is how your console has been returned, then it needs looking into and resolving to customer satisfaction.

    How many of you were doubting the XBONE?

    Personally, yes. The whole reveal was poorly implemented, and for a while I was going over to Sony.

    But the fact that Xbox Live and the controller are so fine, is why I returned. PS4 will be awesome, but One will be awesome-er! :)

    It happens on occasions. It's a little of all of the following, Development not optimized, Xbox One Hardware being taxed (but circular from poorly optimized Software) and a side-effect of Design of the Xbox One itself.

    It (the Xbox One) is designed when an App crashes from whatever reason to return to the Dashboard and fail Launch of the App or continued operation.

    In short, it's not really anything to worry about.

    Seriously microsoft this console is pathetic....

    A friend of mine is manager of a branch of a UK electronics store. They sell both PS4 & xbox one. He told me that they'd had no PS4s returned (by last week) but one third of xbox ones returned as faulty. I appreciate that this was a small sample, and not
    representative, but from reading several forums and blogs in the last couple of weeks, it does seem that more xboxs have had faults than PS4s.

    I bet some faulty consoles are caused by being poorly handled in transit.

    I'm honestly just going to keep buying new ones and returning the old on in the box. 90 warranty for something this poorly made is absurd. And that's not including the fact that they lost my controller I sent to them to fix/replace.
