Xbox One Restarting Itself.

Since the first install of the newest Preview Dashboard phase, my console has restarted itself twice at the conclusion of an activity, once after finishing a match, and then just a few moments ago after an episode of Dexter on Amazon Prime Video.

Is this happening to anyone else?

Xbox One restarting itself

According to this support article, the console would unexpectedly turn off for any of these three reasons:

• Your console is overheating.
• Power supply problem.
• Automatic Turn-off setting is enabled. (we can rule this one out since it's happening far sooner than expected)
  

If your console is overheating:

• Try to ensure both your console and your power supply brick are in a well-ventilated space. Both generate heat, and thus need some "breathing room".
  
• If you can, wipe off the dust near the open vents.
• Ensure there's nothing sitting on or covering the console in any way.
• Ensure your console is positioned horizontally. Vertical positioning is not supported (only the Xbox One S is an exception) and may cause damage.
  

If your power supply is malfunctioning:

• Follow
  this article on troubleshooting the power supply.
• Absolute worst case scenario is that the power supply must be replaced. You can replace it under your console's warranty (default one year).

Xbox One restarting itself

whenever I try to play my Xbox one, it goes to the green loading screen for about 30 seconds then it restarts. when it's back on, I'll try to play my game and before I can get the game loaded and start playing, it restarts itself once again and the whole
process keeps going on until I give up and go do something else. please help!

I have not had that issue. But I do get some freezing in the menus at times. And the party chat feature is a little weird. Best thing to do is go to the preview forums like Sexy said. These things can happen, as I am sure you know, with any preview or
test software.

 

Yep, I've had this happen twice now with the Preview Dashboard. I also use to get this a lot with the Launch version of the Dashboard but was fixed a few Updates later.

I guess it's back again. I would suggest the next time it occurs to use the Report a Problem Feature from the Preview Dashboard and every time it occurs to help MS gather enough information on the Dashboard to why it is doing this.
