Xbox One Resolution Issue 1080p Doubled Screen

Every time i switch to 1080p this happens, and i dont know why, my xbox 360 worked fine in 1080p with this tv, its just the xbox one messes up, can somebody help? i only got the console today, the image below shows what i mean.

XBox One picture is too large for TV screen.

What resolution is the Xbox One at? Could be an issue with the auto sense and it is at 1080p but the screens autocorrects the image incorrectly to fit the 720p screen?

You will see a noticeable difference by upgrading to 1080p both for games on the Xbox One and for all your HDTV content in general (HD cable, blu-ray, etc). Your plasma's resolution (720p) is too low for the size of the screen (50"). It is best to have a 1080p resolution on all HDTVs larger than 40" while 720p is fine and dandy for screens 32" and smaller.

 

Check your settings on xbox and TV try 16:9

 

That's an odd one!

Go into your Xbox ones display settings and switch off auto detect. Then you can play with some of the setting manually until you figure out the problem.

Try the 50Hz setting and the 3D setting. (Also HDMI/DVI)

 

I did everything you said and still no change, also for some reason the TV settings are blanked out and i can't access them.

Think that's how it should be. As long as you have a full screen when playing a game

 

Are you joking haha? you're telling me that i should be playing games with half of the screen cut off?

 

Have a look at his attached pic before commenting, also read my post correctly.

 

I know you said your 360 worked 1080p with this TV but are you 100% sure your TV supports 1080p?

 

Have you tried a different HDMI cable? just a thought
