    Xbox One Reset will freeze at 50%


    Had an issue during the last system update and the console froze during the update. After that the console wont start. I have tried all the different resets, including factory reset, but once the process goes to the preparing console step, the progress will
    go up to 50% and then freeze again.

    can anyone help me with my problem

    everytime i try to factory reset my xbox one it gets to 50% and completely freezes. Even when i download the zip tie option it still freezes, anyone got any ideas or do i have to send it away to be repaired

    Xbox One freezes at 50% when factory resetting

    Hi, my xbox one has been very slow and i get error codes often. I cleared all storage and attempted to factory reset it both offline and online both times freezing at 50%. I tried calling xbox support and eventually they hung up on me lol

    Can you please try and carry out an offline update to your console as
    guided here     if you are part of the Xbox Insider Program the offline update may not work for you so can you please instead post your issue in the

    Xbox Insider forums     for assistance.

    Please disconnect any hardware or devices connected to the USB ports.

    Power cycle your network by unplugging the power to your modem router setup for about 60 seconds.

    Then try the reset process again. If the Xbox cannot pull down the update successfully, that could be part of what you're running into.

    im also having this problem today my xbox one s has been getting stuck on the green screen of death and when it boots up the dash freezes all the time and my games have been crashing a lot so i have decided to factory reset it and now im stuck on 50% preparing

    Hi FosterGIII, I hope you're doing great out there despite the issue that you're experiencing. I am an Independent advisor and I am here to help you in regards to your concern.

    In this case, we just need to reset your console again keeping your games and apps through the Xbox Troubleshooter page. Don't worry because as long as you're connected to Xbox Live your saved progress, games, will not be deleted. It will remove all of your accounts but you can add all of them later on.

    Make sure to follow the steps accordingly to access it:

    1. Unplug the network cable if you're using a wired network connection.

    2. Power off your console, and then unplug the power cord to ensure that the console is completely powered off.

    3. Wait 30 seconds, and then plug the power cord back in.

    4. Press and hold the Pair button (located on the left side of the console) and the Eject button (located on the front of the console), and then press the Xbox button on the console.

    5. Continue holding the Pair and Eject buttons for 10-15 seconds.

    6. Listen for two “power-up” tones a couple of seconds apart. You can release the Pair and Eject buttons after the second power-up tone.

    When the console powers up, you will see the Xbox Startup Troubleshooter. Please click on "Reset this Xbox" then "Reset and keep my games and apps".

    If that didn't work, you may want to consider choosing reset and removing everything.
