Xbox One Reputation System is tragically flawed.

Hello everyone, I am a long time gamer, first time posting.

I have had a pretty good rep overall. Never was below good player on 360, and had a perfect rep on my One since I got mine when Advanced Warfare was out.

The issue I want to make an open forum for is the fact that I had gone from perfect rep to Avoid Me over night. On the day in question I had been playing Titanfall 2 for at least 12 hours straight with almost no in game interaction, I always play in a party
with my friend and don't even use in game chat. now my rep has tanked and on the enforcement rep page it says I have 30 reports in the past 6 months and I know that at least 66% of my reports are recent and from raging players.

Now, I wouldn't care so much if it wasn't for the fact that any game that uses default matchmaking systems basically is unable to find a game if you have the avoid me rep. The only way to fix this problem is to play with people and not get reported. You
can go online and find tons of other people being slapped with the avoid me while playing some of the more toxic games such as Overwatch or Gears, basically anything remotely competitive.

The discussion here is is there a way that Microsoft could make it so that there has to be some credibility to these claims? Or maybe that they need to adjust the fact basically people can vote to have you pseudo banned from playing games.

I don't know, excited to see what other people think, or maybe some insight on how to prevent false reports at all.

Bad reputation

I am unable to play online due to bad reputation as I've been told by Microsoft support by dhafney A. The reporting system on Xbox one is flawed.

 

Enforcement Ambassador with a flawless record...got placed in avoid me STATUS suddenly

We all know the Xbox one reputation system is deeply flawed. Funny I went from Being good for 4years straight to suddenly reputation needs work and now avoid me.

Yet I'm an enforcement ambassador whose record/profile stands at flawless for the last 6months and beyond. Is this a joke or what.!

 

The reputation system is designed to be resilient and to prevent abuse from other players. There are a number of protections put in place to ensure that other users are not unfairly affecting your reputation score. Reputation takes into account a wide range
of data points, of which community feedback is only one component. However, in order to ensure the security and integrity of the reputation system and Xbox Live, we cannot divulge specific reputation protections.

Literally went from 0 to 30 overnight from playing several hours of one game.

No talking to players that night.

No messages.

But my reports are almost all unsporting and cheating.

So, not even done here. I want answers for how this system makes sense when less than a percent of recent players disliking me makes it to where I can't matchmake on most of my games.

PS, already read the posts on what not to do. I don't use in game chat, I don't send hate mail, and I don't spam messages or whatnot, so how can I be unsporting when I neither team kill or speak?

The rep system should never have even seen the light of day. It's a biased system that discriminates and I am living proof of it.

One 1v1 combat game I enjoyed playing with others online took me from perfect rep to 60% avoid because as a 1 handed gamer, I could only do a few moves. So after loosing I would watch the others and await my turn, no mic etc. Yet a few days later I noticed
that when it came my turn again, everyone would log out.

Halo 4, was another game that ruins rep. After playing for hour I had to physically move around after cramping so I left the match and attended to my physical needs.. little did I know that gaming was so important that if you quit out that 343i would penalize
ya for it.

Yet people have died with the controller still in their hand, or after setting for hours on end finally stood up and blood clots after forming in the legs killed them almost instantly. Yet it's. "Your REP" thats paramount and not your life nor livelyhood.

So I left online gaming for good and only play single player or LAN games with family. My xbox one and ps4 mostly serves as my PC when it comes to Online anything.Web, YT etc.
