Xbox One Reputation System Changes Coming!

Have the problems just been recent? I only ask because I see a few tweeting yesterday they were having issues.

Even though I haven't got the game but I wouldn't even be sure how to test the theory. It just seems odd and a few have picked up on it that these rep issues seem to be mostly associated with Halo and Gears, could be a coincidence but just seems weird.

 

I don't know mate only had the game about 24hrs?

I will try it again later see if it stays connected I normally just accept it's probs my rubbish connection and don't bother looking to much further into it, although COD works and stays connected as do all my online PC games.

so any ones guess.

but I will say I'm Loving the game in single player mode, controls may feel a bit fiddly at first or until you get used to them, other than that imo the game is awesome. well worth the £27 argos is selling it for.

Yeah spoil sports seem to be the ones tossing out bad reps anyway. Like Lofty mentioned COD4 did spark up some weird profile ratings for me as well as same goes for Rainbow Six Vegas 1.

Not only that but people using exploits that were never fixed. Gears sees that a lot. i have ran into a few. Same with some of the crap in Halo: MCC. That could be leading to the issues for some. I can say that at least one that complained about Gears
that i know of was using exploits to cheat. No feedback from me but this players whole team left as did mine eventually and I am sure they left feedback. More people came in and they probably left feedback as well.

Of course the system probably is not perfect and no system ever will be. MS was bound to update this in the fall so maybe they are done with that. Some will see it as improving the system and others will see it as admitting the system is broken. MS is
not going to be believed and any report to the contrary will be thrown around as hard evidence even if it is just opinion. Just how the market is right now for MS. The 360 had similar issues with things being reported that were false and them sticking as
truth but the 360 had the price advantage as well as a console that was deemed as just as good or better. Not this time.

Stark contrast for MS. I find it amazing that any negative thing seems to make its rounds. Many, if not most, buying into it. MS puts out a statement and people take it with a grain of salt. Switch that around to Apple or Sony and generally it plays
different. The company is believed, because they would know, and the reports are many times played off. See it around in so many forums. MS really gets the short stick most of the time like this. And I am not a company fan, of any company, but this is
an issue a lot.

 

It's funny you say about Rage Quit, I say funny because I suspect most people (if not everyone) has done (if not yet will do at some point) this at least one time in their gaming years, I will admit there has been the odd time playing CS on the PC where
you can see for a fact, some players are using hack's that make's angry lol and chances are I will leave the match.. not so sure it's as bad as it used to be? but I would not be surprised.

anyway my point being Rage Quit for some people has to be better than an aneurysm because that's what it could lead to Lol....

I knew someone who used to spit at his TV when he lost LOL ... what a loser, he used to make me laff like F*** heeh

not that I condone Rage Quit but at a guess everyone has their limit's heeh

 

People can believe me or not but I can honestly say I've never rage quit out of a multiplayer game. I've been beaten plenty of times and beaten badly but gaming for me is about having fun, win or lose. I've never got to a point where I've lost my tempter
and quit out.

Sure I've played single player games that were tough, after a while I've got a little frustrated then quit out, taken a break but I wouldn't class that as rage quitting or is it? lol

I'm just not a serious competitive gamer. Sure I love some friendly competition on games between friends and family. A racing game for example, I might receive a message ... "Just beaten you on Spa"... reply ... "I'll be coming for you" .... but it's just
friendly competition with some friendly banter thrown in.

For me a game is just that, a game, nothing more.

heeh I think we all have at some point weather it be online or single player ... I suppose there is a big difference to if you rage quit just to P*** off the other players that's a whole different lvl.

The chap who I used to know who would spit at his TV was back in the day's when saga master system was new tech.

I can honestly say I have never rage quit in any online game just to have a negative effect on the out come.

 

Can't believe someone would spit at the TV over a game, just crazy!

But I have a real hate for spitting anytime. I'd ( not that I'd want either ) rather someone punch me in the face than spit on me :/

 

mate he used to make us laff, his face would red as you like, he would smash the controller's, spit at TV and stamp his feet while swearing (like I say highly entertaining to watch, I know not good but hay what can do apart from laff ?)

it didn't matter to him, because his father owned a taxi company and would simply replace anything he broke when he threw a paddy ...

 

I wouldn't believe a single or even a few Rage Quits or even Team Kills do anything. Anyone building an automated system knows this. This is why I pointed out the Quit Ban system in Reach. I tested it before and it's very, very,
very far away from the "my internet gets dropped" excuse that was parroted left and right when Reach had a large population. It has to be a second religion to Quit or TK the amount required.

I'll even grant maybe MS made it a little too steep by chance. Maybe, just maybe (not saying yes or no), MS had TK 300 and lower Rep so they are changing it to TK 1,000 instead. That would be 99% speculation though.

I guess the problem there was he knew he could get things replaced so he done it all the more when things didn't go his way.

I have 2 kids, I'm the first to admit they are not perfect ( they get that from their mother ;-p ) but if I ever saw them break something in anger like that, well they would just go without, simple!
