Xbox One Reputation meter creates unwarranted negative reviews

if Microsoft had a way to random match players based on there skill at the game they about play then it wouldn't be an issue ... if indeed it is an issue at all .. I don't even know if its true ? just because its posted here does not make it fact until Microsoft
confirms the issue ... what else can I say ...

My rep says avoid me

Player reputation is separate from an enforcement action.

Player reputation changes when your have received negative reviews on your Gamertag.

The enforcement page is to see your account may have a suspension.

Alternatively if it says good player, it may have not updated on the site yet either as well.

 

LOL, there are seriously people who are sending bad feedback to others simply because they are a better player? It isn't their fault, do you expect them to sandbag just to give you a fighting chance?

Sending bad feedback to players who beat you is completely unjustified.

 

If it does affect someones reputation when you block them and not simply keep you from being matched with them in future, no way would i block someone for being better at a game than me, i would just join another lobby and feedback my concerns over the system
to microsoft, Maybe they need the avoid feature from 360 back which didnt affect rep and limited chances of you being paired with someone you deemed to skilled at the game for you

 

ok how about all you good players rally together and tell microsoft of your issue ?

after all if some decides to block someone it's there choice to why they block it's and if everyone does it to each other and it effects the rep the we will all have aviod me would we not ?

then microsoft would have no choice but to fix the system so we would all be winners in the end ...

think about it if its as flawed as you all say it is then sooner or later everyone would have Avoid me REP proving your point...

 

I personally believe the system is flawed and can be abused.

I just can't see how Microsoft can tell the difference between genuine and false complaints.

A few examples ...

We all know there's sore losers out there that will give players bad feedback just for getting beat in a game. Ok I beat someone today ( fair and square ) and someone reports me for cheating. So ok Microsoft won't punish me for one report. It's quite possible
over say the next 6 months I meet a few more sore losers that report me. So let's just say 5 people in this time report me for cheating for no other reason than me beating them fair and square so does my reputation take a hit or how can Microsoft know these
were false reports. I really can't see how they can unless someone was there in the game at the time and know I've done nothing wrong.

People say Microsoft don't really look at multiple complaints against one person at one time. So what if ONE idiot goes into an online lobby and starts abusing others in there and a few decide ( within their right ) to report this one person, what happens?

People have said in other threads Microsoft would look carefully at one person that makes multiple complaints. So if I go into a game today and meet a group/clan and they all start abusing me, basically me reporting all concerned is a waste of my time?

I could list a lot more examples but to me it looks like the system is very flawed.

My suggestion take this away from the console itself. It's too easy for gamers to highlight someone's name and hit the report/block. Of course have a system in place to report those but maybe do it by email. Sure it would take a lot more time but I believe
it would discourage a lot of people reporting for the sake of it ( they probably wouldn't waste their time ) and for those who feel there is a genuine reason to report someone for cheating, abusive language etc I'm sure they wouldn't mind taking the time to
send an email. Well I know I wouldn't.

 

I dont personally have an issue, and i dont know if blocking someone does affect their rep, i was saying if it does, i wouldnt knowingly block someone for doing better at a game than me if it was going to affect them like that. I can see your point that
if blocking does affect rep and everybody did it then its likely microsoft would sort it, i would just be proactive rather than reactive if i thought it was an issue or had experienced it first hand. Each to their own though

and blocking players for being good is not a good thing i agree although if i come across someone who is wiping the floor of everyone and get 30+ kills per round i dont want to game with him because he not just good but well above my skill and if block is
the only way i can keep these players turing up in my match ups i dont really have anyother way.

it's not blocking because of being bitter lol it's because im no compo to him and i want to game with equally as unskilled players as me lol ...

if blocking is a bad way of doing it then maybe they should remove it lol ?

 

No just leave the lobby and take yours chances, it's doubtful you will get matched with the same player time after time. What bit don't you get about that's not what the blocking system is for? It's to block racist, sexist, rude, etc etc players, not
normal players who happen to be better than you.

 

please post a link where it stats blocking is just for those reasons ?

It doesn't have to be personal abuse it's about the T and C's of Live use. Being a decent player is not against the rules and doesn't warrant negative feedback of any kind.

look if i was in a game with much better players i would not blame them or take personally if they blocked me for being rubbish ?

if it does effect REP then it's Microsoft issue to reslove
