    Xbox one repetitive squeaking sound.


    Sorry if this is the wrong spot to put this in but, I've had my one for two months fan was making a low noise that I could deal with. a week ago it started to make a repetitive squeaking sound that's high pitched, it lets out 2-3 squeaks constantly. I've
    tried to move it around but nothing it's definetly the fan on top of the xbox. It's driving me crazy as my ears are sensitive to high pitched sounds,idk what to do I might just a pair of headphones so I can't hear it anymore. Anything you can tell me would
    be very helpfull.

    Xbox one fan squeaking

    Xbox one fan squeaking often anyway to fix it? Got it back in November during Black Friday but that darn squeaking noise so annoying when watching tv.

    Xbox one squeaking

    I got my xbox one in December and since then console has run perfectly no problems whatsoever until about a few days ago when the console started making annoying squeaks every 2 or seconds My assumption is that it's the fan , is there any fixes for this
    or is the console going to break

    Are you sure the sound is not coming from your controller when it vibrates? You described the sound my controller makes.

    Nope not the brick either sound definetly coming from the vent on top of the xbox.

    My xbox is doing the same thing. It's right beside me because I don't have a lot of space in my room, so you can definitely hear it at night.

    My xbox is doing the same thing. It's right beside me because I don't have a lot of space in my room, so you can definitely hear it at night.

    Anyhow just a thought, I hope it all works out for you.

    In shipping several reports have identified that poor handling has caused internal shifting of the components such as wires/cables and they tend to come in contact with moving components

    (Ex. Cables wires hitting DVD player or fans).

    I have read on this site, (Back on day-one) a member (while initially powered OFF) turned the XB1 upside down, powered it ON at the p/b then placed a DVD in the tray. When the laser moved it fell into proper position, resulting in the noise going away???
    (The laser unit actually had shifted slightly and was hitting something in the inside the casing, causing the noise.)

    I would bet that handling during shipment or you the consumer has caused the same issues.

    Several customers on here have had the same noise issues.

    I have experienced MANY of the same complaints and I have been very fortunate to have worked through each problems. I have to thank the website here, the research from other people’s problems has helped me to correct my own. (Luckily without the need for
    tech support or customer service)

    Yeah Matt...most of the players that have the clan tag sound like 12 year olds...funny thing is I have to listen close enough to figure out if its a girl or not cause of the squeaky voices. Oh you(squeak) got (squeak) owned!
