Xbox One repeatedly disconnecting from WiFi

For the past few weeks, my Xbox has been randomly and continuously disconnecting from my homes wifi. The Xbox is the only client that gets kicked, all my other devices have no problem. This will happen every hour of gametime or so, and the only thing that
seems to fix it is a hard reset/power cycle, after which I must go into network settings and connect again (the Xbox does not automatically reconnect). This has happened in multiplayer games (for example, in For Honor, eventually players will start to get
kicked, and then I'll get an in game message stating an Ethernet cable has been disconnected), and in single player games (RE7, a notification will alert me that the in game service that uploads trophies etc has stopped working). I do not get any XBL/Microsoft
wifi errors, the console simply disconnects and does not reconnect until I manually power cycle and enter my wifi details again.

I have an Asus RT-AC3200 router, and a Netgear CM500 modem. When this problem began a few weeks ago, I had a Netgear Nighthawk AC1900 router, and switched to the Asus to see if that would remedy the issue (I had thought it was a bandwidth issue initially),
but the problem still exists. I have gone through every possible combination of router/modem/console resets and power cycles, and the problem still persists. Does anyone have any insight into what might be going on? My console received a small system update
two days ago, and I hoped it would address this issue, but it has not. Please help if you can, thank you.

Xbox one s connection problems

My xbox one s keeps disconnecting from wifi but it works most of the time. It's not the wifi or router because everything else connected works.

 

Question? How long does Halo 5 take to install?

i'd say it took an hour maybe and hour half to install from disk - but after it installed and i fired it up told me it wanted to download a 9Gb patch - at which point i disconnected my xbox one from wifi and tried again and it let me play then campaign with the wifi disconnected (an option to play offline would have been nice rather than forcing me to disconnect from wifi) not that into pvp so not sure if i'm gonna bother patching it - to be honest i'm already back on destiny anyway gunplay is much more satisfying than halos guns

Sorry to hear about the network performance. Let's check a few things to narrow this down. Does the issue persist when using both wired or wireless network connections on the console?



Run a Detailed Network Statistics test on the Xbox One console and please provide the following information.

• Download Speed
• Upload Speed
• Latency
• Packet Loss %
• Wireless Strength (if applicable)
• NAT Type
