Xbox one remote not working properly with some games (PC)

I bought a xbox one wireless controller (bluetooth one), but some games are unplayable and im on my wits end. Playing Battleblock Theatre has usually been okay, but for instance GTA IV or Terraria it might work for a few minutes, and then sproadically some
buttons start to jam, lag or just not work at all. It stays connected to the computer tho.

I've installed what i believe to be the anniversary update (Version 1903 for x64), have tried updating the xbox remote drivers (which it says are up to date) and also have tried updating the remote software with xbox accessories (which was also up to date).

I have a bluetooth mouse+keyboard aswell, but they are with a usb dongle and i have tried both turning them off and unplugging the dongle completely, neither seems to help.

Suggestions on how to get it working properly would be greatly appreciated. <3

Hi stufu98,

sorry to hear but unfortunately, there could be many causes for your problem.

Some built-in bluetooth receivers have problems with the "windows standard driver", so you should use the one specified by the manufacturer.

But maybe it's just performance bottlenecks, do you start the game in Windows Gamebar mode? Please also test the games with a controller connected via USB.

However, I have my Xbox setup properly and I still can't get remote installs to work either, so there may be a bug.

One thing i have found to work so far is that some games have remote installation

You can that from the phone and it will install on your pc.

I mentioned this in my last reply, but can you provide us the Xbox app version and Gaming Services version? Go to Xbox app > select Profile picture > Settings > About and those two pieces of information should be there.

Also, while this black screen issue is occurring on the Xbox app is the Xbox console on sleep mode?

Finally, are you a member of the Xbox Insider Program?
