    Xbox One Remote Not Connecting to PC


    Hi, I'm trying to connect a regular xbox one wireless remote to my PC (I use windows), I've tried basically everything. I have the xbox accessories app, but the controller doesn't show up there, wirelessly nor through USB. When I plug in the remote to my PC via USB, my computer doesn't even register it. I can't connect it through bluetooth. It doesn't show up. When I've had it plugged in, the drivers that are "supposed" to be there (i.e the xbox/microsoft ones) don't appear. It's like my PC refuses anything to do with the remote. It's very frustrating and I'm not sure what to do. Please send any advice, thank you!

    The remote was initially connected to an Xbox One console I have but it has never been connected to a PC, as it has failed whenever I've attempted.

    This is how I have connected my remote in the past when I used it with my computer, just by connecting the USB to the computer and into the controller. For some reason this has stopped working though and no longer turns on the remote when I plug it in
