    Xbox one remote eats batteries.

I have the small xbox one remote and it lights up every time it is moved. The problem I have is I keep my remote on my couch and soft coffee table and it gets bumped and moved several times a day. The problem with that is the batteries die very fast. The
battries that came with the remote even started leaking in the device before the batteries weren't low enough to stop working.

My question is... Can I disable the motion sensor without disabling the function of the remote?

    :)

Possible to change channels without Kinect?

As Randver said, yes it is possible to change channels without a Kinect.

Use your Xbox controller and press X to load One Guide

    or

Use Xbox One app on phone

    or

Buy Xbox One remote (totally worth it, even thou it eats batteries)

Xbox One Media Remote Not Working

I have bought two brand new Xbox One Media Remotes and neither one has worked. I put the batteries exactly how they should be and even switched to new batteries. Please help.

    Hey Rodville!

I don't believe that is currently a feature option on the Xbox One Media Remotes. They are designed to "wake up" when moved so they can be ready to use instantly. Your suggestion of being able to disable that function is one you should leave over on the
    Xbox Feedback site.

In the meantime, may I suggest rechargeable batteries? Xbox one remote eats batteries. :)

    Xbox One Media Remote issue

Heads up owners of Xbox Media One Remote! If all of a sudden your option does not appear to shut down the console while holding down the Xbox button and all else works fine....its your batteries. Long story shorter here. I haven't had this remote very long
and most remote batteries(duracell, in this case) last for many months. Well falling asleep with it on your bed many a night was clearly causing the light to go on and off draining the batteries that much faster. Odd that it still functioned otherwise except
    the power down option. FYI

Universal media remote (original white one) does not work with new style 360

    Hello,

    Thanks for the support message.

If the buttons are not working for your remote, please follow these steps below.

    • Check for interference. Remove any objects that may block the infrared port on the remote or on the console. This includes metallic or metallic-painted faceplates on the console.
    • If the infrared port on the faceplate is damaged, replace the faceplate.
    • Put new batteries in the remote control to determine whether the behavior is caused by weak batteries. Remove the batteries from the remote control, press each button two times, and then replace the batteries.

Xbox 360 Controller randomly stops vibrating.

Try the troubleshooting steps at "Xbox controllers, headsets, and wireless accessories"

    support.xbox.com/.../controllers-remotes.

My guess is that your battery has gone bad and no longer charges up very well. You could try another battery, or a couple of AA batteries.
