Xbox One releases in Japan, being reported as dismal

I have to agree with FatelShock, it sounds like a 5 year old talking to hear him / her self talk..

At Hollywood reporter, " Thanks Captain obvious, where you not getting a paycheck this week? Don't answer......you did when you hit enter"

Whats important is I love my xbox one and can wait to put one in EVERY ROOM.

 

To be fair to mgzin66, I don't believe he started the thread to bash Microsoft, I know he hasn't been Microsoft's biggest fan from what I've seen him post but everyone is different, just like anything, some will like it, others won't.

Now this isn't aimed at anyone in this thread but just in general and it happens on most forums, now there are a few that if anything negative lets say is posted about Microsoft then there's a few that jump all over it, defending XB1 like their life depended
on it, just like there's a few that jump over anything Microsoft/XB1 if something positive happens, at the end of the day this is a discussion forum, for me that means talking about the good, the bad and the somewhere in the middle, not sure why some get so
defensive or go on the offensive when it comes to do with consoles and games, again we are all different.

As for this thread, again it doesn't surprise me XB1 doesn't seem to be doing well in Japan, I said earlier on if in 6 months - 1 year I hear it's even done average I would be surprised ( meaning I don't think it will go good at all ) but who knows, only
time will tell.

You are correct that I am not pro MS, nor am I pro Sony. I have zero loyalty to brands. I am a subscriber to both Gold and the PSN.

Just FYI to everyone else I have a console from each of the 3 companies in my home and they all get used.

I merely saw the numerous articles and wanted to gather thoughts seeing back in June, there was a number of folks that were of the opinion, due to pre-order numbers, it looked like it might do better than most expected.

One could logically assume by those numbers alone, come release day, there would be a decent amount of people waiting to get the console upon release, which by all accounts to date did not happen. I stated in an earlier post I too was a tad surprised of
the turnout. Maybe a future article will show something different, who knows.

I do not believe I was out of line, said anything harsh or misleading. The way it was interpreted by quite a few was not unexpected. I will still stand by my statement that there are some on here that if you do not hold the same opinion as theirs you are
wrong, plain and simple and have a mission in life to bash MS.

@Duck....you cannot use a website done up by fans of a particular brand to be a source of unbiased opinion....

 

It is certainly more reliable than Kotaku which used post-midnight pre-morning pics to pretend lins were empty. And by your logic Dualshockers is not a website that you could use, nor are the Sony/MS teams at IGN.

 

Japan has been a struggle for Xbox for years. what exactly is the surprise here?

Heard about this earlier. It's kind of expected, but it doesn't hurt Microsoft at all since Japan has never been a great place to sell Xbox's anyways.

 

Let's try and stay away from the console comparisons guys
