Xbox One refusing to connect to network

    Hello,

Just this morning my Xbox One has apparently decided something is wrong with the network configuration, trying to change or just look at the network settings on the Xbox itself causes it to freeze for about half a minute before it tells me im not connected.
Messing around with the network settings in general on the Xbox also causes similar freezes every time i enter or exit a sub catagory in the Network settings.

This alone wouldnt have worried me too much, but the thing is that the router tells me that the Xbox is connected without issues, and its sending and receiving packages as it should, all the other devices connected to the router are working as they should.

    Anyone experienced this?

    :)

My Xbox One S is refusing to connect to one particular modem. It will connect to others, however not this one. All other devices will connect to it, just not the One S.

    Hey there RessorpTebor.

So that we can best help out, can you clarify the make and model of the modem you're trying to connect to? Thanks!

Xbox One refusing to connect to network

    Hey there Draftspartan!

Sorry to hear about the connection issue. Since you said the Xbox would freeze when it tries to test the network, let's start by power cycling your Xbox One console. To do so, follow each step below:

    • Press and hold the power button on the Xbox One console for 10 seconds, or until the unit is fully powered off.
    • Unplug the power supply from the back of the Xbox One console and let it sit for 5 minutes.
    • Plug the power back in and power on.
    • Verify if the issue persists.
Post back and let us know if that helps! Xbox One refusing to connect to network :D

I have the same issue. Brand new system that originally downloaded 6% of the required 907mb file but then stopped. I restarted and it then got to 7% before freezing, then 5%, 2% now it won't go past zero. Between 5% and 2% I did a full system shut down
(hold for 10 seconds) still nothing. So i got on to the Offline system update diagnostic tool OSUDT1 as per the directions of xbox support. Still nothing. I hold the bind and eject button, press the power and keep holding the other two and all that did was
go to the green logo screen before trying to do the whole setup again. I've unplugged and left it for 15 minutes before trying it again... I'm running out of ideas and patiences!
